gritty teams with no bonafide stars, great defense, and an amazing pair of goalies, that are pretty unbeatable at home and play well on the road.....that's the recipe that's best to go on a cup run with....

that being said...

i am betting that the ST. LOUIS BLUES will win the STANLEY CUP..in 7 games over the NY RANGERS...

I'd love it. I put a unit myself on this SC final matchup at +5350.  Great odds for two teams that have been playoff style hockey all season.

wow, +535 huh? seems like a lot to me consider the odds both teams are at right now to win their respective conferences. at what point did you place this wager out of curiosity.

The Blues are so similar to the 2007 ducks and the 2011 Bruins its not even funny. Horrible odds? LOL. if the stanley cup was run 15 times..GURANTEED this blues teams wins it at least once. No matter who they play they dont give up more then 2-3 goals. They easily have the best goalie tandem in hockey. AND THEY'VE BEEN WITHOUT THEIR BEST POINT PRODUCERS FOR OVER A MONTH...if that happened to any other team....(Kane, Toews)...(Franzen, Datsyuk) etc etc. they would have a horrid month...they blues went 8-1!!! without them

KVEGAS I watch every game this year and if they can keep up the way they have played all year then they legitimately could make a run at it, they play a grinding style game and really emphasize the whole 200 foot game and everyone is buying in, if they continue to get consistent goaltending then they should be in good shape, and when they get Steener and McDonald back that will surely help the scoring issues. I wouldn't count them out, Ive looked at placing that bet but will have to see if they can continue there success they play a lot of road games this half and we'll see if they can continue it. BOL buddy

which is probably WHY you are NOT a bookie or odds maker. your butt would get FIRED out here in Las Vegas. teams like the freeking Sabres and Jets are 40-1 and 60-1 AND they aren't even IN the playoffs as of now. 

LVH Superbook (former Hilton) had the Blues 8-1 for the Western Conference and 12-1 for the Cup last Saturday March 10th. pretty decent odds, esp for the conference, considering their performance so far this season.

I was just bumping a post I had made a while ago, because of the continued success about the blues.

I feel great about this wager.

Still a long ways to go but The Blues are easily playing like the best team in hockey RIGHT NOW, along with your Penguins LeRink!

IF I can get 50-1 on ANY team that's locked up a playoff spot, I would take it just for the HEDGE

Bruins and Blues this year, will be a good match up if it happens.... and I think alot of people give Pittsburg and New York too much credit this year to make a run at the cup, but we will see what happens
