Sorry for clogging the forum with a stupid question

Is there a special name or award if you finish the season with the most goals, assists, and points?

If so, when was the last time someone did it?

I feel ashamed for not knowing this right off the bat without question, getting old  :)   Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Art Ross is for the most total points, in the event of a tie it goes to the player with the most goals.  Rocket Richard is awarded to the player with the most goals only (named after the late great Maurice Richard).  No trophy at the moment for most assists only.

I was just watching my Pens and looking at the NHL stats and realized that Crosby has a chance of pulling it off.

I would think it's a very rare feat to pull off, but i'm sure it's been done.  Didn't know if there was a "triple crown" or what.

I was just going to say to you, it's not as rare as a triple crown in baseball.  Gretzky for sure had a number of years where he lead in all categories, Lemeiux too a couple of times I'm sure.  It has been more rare in recent years however...would be nice to see Crosby pull it off, if Malkin stays healthy he has a good shot at it.

No Name for it. Not a triple crown or anything like that. Art Ross for pts. Rocket Richard for goals.Nothing for assists(should be the Gretzky). But if you do lead in all you will usually get another trophy. The Hart(MVP)

Ha ha very true

I would hope so.  I would love to see Sidney Crosby do it, but it's going to be tough.

They changed the name of that award to the Ted Lindsey Award in April of this year.  As far as I can tell, no one other than Gretzky has ever led the league in both goals and assists.  He did five times: 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1987.

Oh, and Lemieux did the league in both goals and assists as well: 1989 and 1996.

Great call. I also forgot they changed the name. Not Knocking any of these guys(Lindsay,Richard,etc.) but how is there no Gretzky award or maybe they're saving that for someone who gets 92 goals and 215 pts in a season
