Freon-Sniffing Puckgasm Thursday.....

Well, folks, based on last night's results, it unfortunately looks like I'll be continuing to reside in the van down by the river for the foreseeable future (gotta love the all-you-can-eat pine cones and squirrel-tube-steaks, though). But I digress....

Went 3-2 yesterday (for a YTD total of 7-4). Apparently had a mini-brain-tumour as I picked the Flames (note to self: have rattling/grating sound inside noggin' checked forthwith), and also got hosed on Anaheim (did make up for it with a late play on the Canuckleheads).

For today's menu, I like the following (ML):

Washington (Tampa) - yes, I and everyone and their canine and their canine's canine are probably on this, I know. But still, parlay this in with a couple of the below plays and it's Kraft Dinner-with-gourmet-snausages the rest of the week

Boston (Toronto) - it's once again tough being a B's fan these days but I'm fairly confident they can at the very least squeek one out against TO (oh Lord, why have you foresaken the beloved B's? also, why hasn't Jessica Simpson been shot into the deepest recesses of outer space?)


Phoenix (Colorado) - yes, the 'Lanche are playing great but this is the third game in four nights; moreover, Phoenix got a nice team upgrade with some of their trades this week


San Jose (Montreal) - Halak can stand on his head(s) but I don't think it will be enough to contain a motivated Sharks team after their loss to Joisey (Sharks almost pulled that one out with 3 goals in the third, I believe, so hopefully that positive will carry over).

Upon further research (and checking my on-line psychic), I think I'm also going to play the Pens (I think the Rags blew their proverbial load against Ottawa the other night and I just can't seem them having a similar performance against a very good Pens team).

Update: looks like Price is playing instead of Halak (kind of a strange call, there, since you would think Les Habidont's would play their top guy against a top team. Although Price has been coming around, I guess).

Nonetheless, I now like the play on San Jose even more. Book em, Dano and let's celebrate with nymphomaniac contortionist French schoolgirls and fine cognac :)

Ok one more grab for the evening (that's what she said, yes). I realize this goes against the numbers but I just have a feeling (maybe even two feelings, not sure) - that Ottawa is going to get it done tonight (really bad effort the other night and also playing against Legace, who isn't exactly a world-beater).
