-0.5 Canada???

Sorry for a stupid question but im new to the hockey stuff.  What is the point of setting a spread at 0.5 when I have read in the hockey sportbook rules that overtime is included in betting spreads??? So why not just set it a 0? Help me out with this bc i dont get it...thanks

The books do not include overtime, in international hockey its regulation only, if the 3rd period finihes tied and you lay the 1/2 puck your wager will lose
