they couldnt put padding on the beams or how about having them less than 2 feet from the fucking track

That video is insane. Sad story for sure.   

How don't they have padding on those poles.

They have to fix that track cause alot off them are complaining saying it is too quick and dangerous.

I'm sorry for his death as much as any of you, but there's been a lot of talk leading up to the events on Whistler about how the Canadiens haven't allowed competitors from other countries to get any practice time on the course. It's a fact look it up. And secondly the actual design of the track is flawed, as another commenter said those steel beams shouldn't have been right next to the track, they shouldve been padded, and the ice walls themselves shouldve been higher. Theyre blaming it on driver error and inexperience and thats a crock of sh*t.

padding would of done absolutely nothing... those poles shouldn't of been there in the first place or atleast have a higher wall near them like the installed for today

You're a douchebag Jamieace. It's worth noting that the rider did not ride off the track, he was deflected out by the barricade wall on the lower inside of the corner. No rider would go near that pole if it wasn't for the misplaced barricade beginning the straight stretch. Put up all the high walls and padding on the poles you want, the corner will continue to funnel riders into that low wall on the inside of the corner. Watch the replay or even look at the brutal still photo above and you will see what I'm talking about.

I see what your talking about. All the more reason its the Canadians fault, specifically the douchebag(s) who deigned the track, trying to make a name for themselves by designing the fastest, hardest track in the world, instead of thinking about the athletes.
