I took Pitt because their regulation price was too nice in comparison with their ML price.

And when it's that high for a home team and and a top tier team I really stress taking the dog no matter who it is.

It has come down a bit since the public has adjusted the line a bit, but still too high.

I don't think so.  I don't think the ML price is high at all....I'd say I would have expected roughly that ML.

But when I look at the regulation lines, +15 looks enticing for the PITT bettor that doesn't want to lay 50 cents of juice.

This makes NJ +.5 price become less enticing as well as their PL price less enticing which tells me NJ is worth a shot tonight.

Don't think the public is ever really sold on my Devils even year after year of success...simply because they lack big names on their roster, never really destroy their opposition, etc. And I don't think +130-140 really sways the public to take them over the Stanley Cup Champs.

It sure looks like that but HOWEVER I would think that the "sharp/smart" money is on Jersey right now ... over 75% of the public is on Pittsburgh and the NJ line keeps dropping..

Wouldn't that just tell us the game probably goes to overtime ????

I kind of like that angle you're using there,there's not reg lines in Vegas so i never looked into them.

I find it hard to believe that the public is in that much of a hurry to risk their money in a PK'em game at -150

We know the way teams are playing now it should probably be close a pick'em. NJ are road warriors and Pitt hasn't looked nearly as sharp as we know they can be. But most people still think Stanley Cup champs with high powered stars vs. a stingy Devils squad.

I guess hockey isn't as big in Vegas, understandable no doubt.

The line right now (ML vs. REG) does suggest this game could go into OT but still slightly leaning NJ.  Even with the variance suggesting a tight game, I don't mind taking the team with +money especially when it's 30  or 40 cents on the dollar.

And on a lighter note, my cell just got a call from oddsmaker.com.  Honestly, these people are hounding me every month.  No thanks.

Why did I take the Canadiens??? Oh wait I took them on the PL, I might still have a chance!!
