#11 Posted: 10/15/2009 7:26:51 AM I am planning on making my first major play of the season on the Redwings today, vs the Kings.......
I know Detroit is disheveled early on this season, but the Kings have to be a little ''road weary''.... Good spot for the Redwing's to get nasty.. A team in their conference and a team playing their 3rd game in 4 days....
The 3rd period tonight against the Ranger's, the Kings seemed to be running out of steam... They may come out hot vs Detroit, and if Detroit netminder can get through this, it will get easy the rest of the way..... GL.....We'll probably need it with this Detroit team... |

#12 Posted: 10/15/2009 7:50:28 AM Detroit radio station this morning reported that Pavel Datsuk is most likely out for the game. Just a FYI. |

#14 Posted: 10/15/2009 9:36:37 AM Leaning on DET...LA played last night and DET needs a good game at home after the debacle in BUF.
LA is playing B2B nights and winding down the road trip. |

You make alot of good points and I agree this should be a good spot for Detroit . Detroit doesn't seem right early on and that concerns me.
The only thing I differ is the Kings carried the play the 2nd half of the game. The 3rd period they outshot NY 11 -1 and had 6 consecutive power plays after the Voros / O Donnell fight 2 minutes into the 2nd period. Even though they didn't score in the 3rd they didn't quit against the Rangers the way Toronto did the game before.
Best of Luck
