I'm a huge fan of every team playing each other twice a year.  I have no problem with conference games being cut back some.

I'm a huge fan of every team playing each other twice a year. 
 
definately a big plus for the schedule and will probably help low fan based teams like Phoenix, Nashville, Florida and Atlanta attract fans.
 
circle games for me are my Pennies west cost trip in early November BUT I don't see a game in Phoenix so I guess not every team has a "home-home" this season.

3 things interesting to note:

1. The Flames and Oilers play each other 3 times in the first 10 games of the season for both teams. That's half of the 6 meetings by October 24th.

2. The Canucks host the Blues on January 27th. Vancouver's next home game is March 13th vs Ottawa. That's a 44-day span between home games. This, of course, is due to the Olympics. In that time, the Canucks will play 14 straight road games.

3. Also due to the "Olympic squeeze" the Flames (and at least a few other teams) play 15 games in January's 31 days.

That happens a lot with East vs West. I can't remember the last time the Leafs and Wings had a home-home.

Where do you see that?  I was hoping the Leafs would play at JLA, but I only see them playing once at the ACC.

Kind of sucks, because I was hoping to see them play the Wings at the JLA (so cheap to get tix in Detroit)

He doesn't see it. What Lipps is saying is that he'd really like to see them do that one day.

I didn't see that.  That's what I would like to see.

Back when I had my season tix I always felt that you should get to see every team atleast once.


ALSO ROAD TEAMS SHOULD WEAR THE COLORED UNIS AND HOME TEAMS SHOULD WEAR WHITE

It's getting about time they changed that back.  They have been doing that since the lockout ended I think.

yep

i remember the one year they did it for 1/2 a season  and then went back but its silly that they do it permanently now.

think the league went to dark jerseys @ home for team "third jersey" nights. that way the away team doesn't have to bring both their light and dark on the road.
 
and speaking of third jerseys, what happened to the Flames black "snorting horse"? thought that was one of the best jerseys in the league.

I beg to differ. I truly believe they pulled the ol' switcheroo with the jerseys due to the almighty dollar. IMO, jersey sales must have gone up by advertising the arguably better-looking colored jerseys at home games.

i agree 100%,i'm a flames fan from the east and my easiest travel is to montreal, who I hate,but it's nice to know that I can travel to Quebec to see my favorite team each year as to every third or foufth
