MIKE BROWN U  Spineless  piece of shit. your season should now officially be over.5 games max. if they give it to brashear he deserves same if not more. that was a gutless, cowardly cheap shot on a guy 4-5 inches shorter and 40-50 lbs lighter who didnt even have his end up to move out of way nor have possesion of puck.,  Not a big fan of the versus gang in studio but they hit it on head. if buttman or cambell doesnt suspend him 5 games then  they are idiots and  possibly against blacks if they dotn get same suspension. did u see the blood oozing and gushing all over ice?
 
but liek any hockey player 15min later lil ole huds with 10 stitches is back in the game. if thats nba or baseball those pansies sit out rest of game :(

msu, we can't turn into a bunch of classless clowns here.  We still have to keep our dignity and know the Ducks are dangerous.

Of course I agree that Brown should be sitting the rest of this series, and the season consequently, out, but let's be civil about this lest we rile up the Ducks backers too much and they start calling us classless.

Hudler returned, but that doesn't take away from the severity of the hit.  Brown will get multiple games for sure.  How many?  We'll see.

No reason for the hit Brown is a fourth line player. Hudler was vulnerable in that position and where is th respect anymore tell me! Brown deserves 4 to 5 games that was bad and he should be punished for his stupid actions. He also turned the game around they were up 1-0 in the game! Dumb play by brown.

Keep your head up when skating through the neutral zone. I though he hit him more elbow than shoulder but these guys like Hudler and Betts need to stop admiring their passes

BTW Franzen f'n crushed Hiller after the 1st goal without a call

The last player to touch the puck, other than the goalkeeper, shall be considered the player in possession. The player deemed in possession of the puck may be checked legally, provided the check is rendered immediately following his loss of possession.

Clean hit. Reminds me of the Scott Stevens/Paul Kariya hit. Which was also clean.
 
Brown being a 4th liner has nothing to do with it. All players are to be treated equally.
 
And If Hudler's going to throw elbows he should expect a rough game.
 
Someone is going to crash Osgood hard because of Franzen's actions.

I personally don't care who wins this series but Franzen definately did attempt to blow over Hiller even the announcer said he got a free shot on Hiller.

Im glad there are some people who actually agree it was a perfectly clean hit. No elbow at all. Where is the respect you ask? I would respect Brown less for not finishing his check if he didnt hit him. Keep your fucking head up. Hockey 101.
 
All this shit about a player being in a vulnerable position makes me sick. It's their own fault and this is a contact sport. I'm also not sure why this is even an issue lately. Go check out the video of Pat Quinn running over Bobby Orr from over 30 years ago. This is hockey for fucks sake.

I was more shocked that no Detroit player even went after Brown i'll guarantee you if that was ANA or BOS somebody would of let him no about it.

It was a response to Hudler's elbow, essentially. So it was ANA letting Hudler know about it.

No need for glasses, msu09. Just years of watching hockey and understanding the rules. Intent to injure is a possiblity. But if they start calling it for that hit then they are going to go against the grain of what they have been calling in the past. If you wanted to nit pick... elbowing itself is intent to injure.

And yes you can gush blood from a shoulder. Have you seen the equipment these guys wear these days? Rock Solid.

I thought it was a great hit. A cheap shot, yes, but a great fucking hit. I want Brown to play for my Sharks!!  This is what the playoffs is all about.
