The Pistons WILL WIN THE SERIES Against Boston

And to get a positive ML on the series is just icing on the cake.

I did not believe this prior to the playoffs starting. usually in the NBA the teams with the best records advance pretty far. But this Boston playoff team IS NOT the 66 win regular season team. Allen has aged very quickly, they can't win on the road, and they are physically beat up. They've had 14 postseason games to flip the switch and get their shit together. It hasn't happened and how can anyone believe they can against a much superior team than their 2 earlier opponents.

Detroit has the players to matchup with Boston. They are battle tested. They have proven they can win on the road. Prince and Wallace's length will bother Boston. Injuries aren't usually a good thing but Billups' has given Stuckey a lot of confidence coming off the bench.

Look at it objectively. Don't mind the 66 wins. Boston is far from that team. Two 7 game series with ATL and CLE with 0 wins on the road?????? Cle competed at Bos and Det is much better on the road than Cle.

I won't bet Det every game but I will bet them when there is value on Det. I will NEVER bet on Bos in any game.

I agree 100%. I can&#x27;t say I was impressed with Boston coming into the playoffs and my opinion of them is even lower after watching the first two rounds. This just isn&#x27;t that good of a team. I really feel Detroit is a notch above every team in the league right now. They win this series in six games, and wouldn&#x27;t be surprised to see it end in five.

7 game series is a long time. A lot can happen that can influence a series so I won't predict how many games it will go. What I will say is nothing will shock me. 4 games or 7 games would not surprise me. That's right, even 4 games.

The Choking Magic (that&#x27;s officially their new name beginning next season) made the Pistons look a lot better than they really are.  The Celtics have looked flawed in these playoffs, but at the TD Banknorth Garden they&#x27;ve established themselves as a force.  They&#x27;re just one more home win away from tying the NBA record for most consecutive home wins to start the playoffs.  If they can figure out how to win a single road game, the Pistons will be sunk.  I think they&#x27;re already sunk because tomorrow night they&#x27;ll be down 2 games to none.&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Banishing Sam Cassell was a huge step toward righting the ship.  The Celtics keep chugging along despite the disappointing performances from Ray Allen.  If he snaps out of it at any moment, what are the Pistons gonna do?

people fail to realize the lack of pistons athleticism is playing right into the celtics lap. The only dynamic player that can give the celts matchup problems is stuckey and im not sure he can be relied upon due to his youth.. The hawks could run the celts out of the gym each player was a matchup problem for the celts.. lebron himself made the celts have a nightmare.. i just dont know how the pistons will be able to consistently score. no one guy can break them down especially with billups injured

I don&#x27;t have favorite teams in the NBA, it&#x27;s all the same.As far as your post goes, if the &#x27;choking Magic&#x27; showed Pistons as better than they really are, then why not changing the tune and saying that the Celtics needed to win 4 games against the weakest team in the playoffs this season, the Hawks, and basically an uncoached team in the Cavs.Both teams are high on improvisations, both teams have had PGs acquired in the last trade. And Celtics beat them at home. I don&#x27;t think that&#x27;s something to be that proud of really. The Pistons were obviously not up to the task in game 1, due to the fact Billups doesn&#x27;t seem in the game yet, whether he&#x27;s rusty or not 100% healed, time will tell.Wallace won&#x27;t shoot this poorly again, and Garnett, even though has solid numbers against Detroit throughout the season, hardly repeats his performances to such an extent. I would think that the Pistons still have a shot at this, even if they lose game 2. In that case, of course, the deficit would be rather big, but I don&#x27;t think it will come to that, I think they go out in a competitive manner (like they played 1st half) and give them a fight, possibly resulting in a road win.

I&#x27;d banish Ray Allen as well. Celtics shot lights out and Detroit still had a chance to cut the lead down to 4 pts with just a few min left. When Allen drives to the hoop, everyone on the court knows he is looking to make some desperate last second pass to someone who has the nutsack to shoot it.

The Celtics have three things working against them right now: They can&#x27;t win on the road; Ray Allen sucks; and they&#x27;ve already played two seven game series, the most recent of which they had to devote all of their energies to try and win. You add this last fact onto the prevailing sentiment that they were balls to the wall the entire regular season, and you&#x27;re looking at a team that could very easily break down in Games 6 and 7 of this series.&#xD;&#xA;While I won&#x27;t disagree with you that the Celtics probably will win Game 2, I would venture to say that Game 2 is monumentally more important for them. They MUST go up 2-0 because if they don&#x27;t, then they face the prospect of having to win a road game to come back to Beantown tied up. Also, if they dig themselves into a 3-1 hole, I promise you they won&#x27;t be able to muster the energy and emotion to claw back into this series and eek out another 7-game series.

I reall hope not. I want a Celtic vs. Lakers NBA FINALS. I cant say I disagree with you though. Let's face it this detroit team is .....well........just more of a team. They dont get rattled and they always step up which is more than can say for some of this Boston team this post season. It really is a different game in the playoffs. that being said i wish boston the #1 seed all the luck in the world....they're gonna need it.
