Jazz vs lakers game 4 lets talk...what is the line saying

My initial thoughts are... this absolutely sucks for my Utah series bet.

I've been crazy about the home teams but it seems to be a pattern this year for the favorite to win and usually cover the first two games, then get blasted in game 3, and then come back to win game 4 outright. I think LA wins but I don't want to mess with any road teams.

Thats nearly a 3pt swing... Major diff from when Cs dropped from double digits to 8pts.

West Conf should be considered one poss matchups whereas the East Conf you have Cs and Pistons clearly 1 and 2. 

More than 1pt is major hint is what I'm saying...considering the fact that it hasn't changed venues.

I think lots of people are on the Lakers, but game 4 is still a must win for the Jazz.

 

 

No, he didn't !  Do you guys realize that this moneyline came out this morning at +150???  That price sat there before the bull rush began on the Lakers.  I don't care how much you love a game, you can't accept a +115 payout when you should be getting +150 (or at least +140).  This is very, very bad.  Very bad.

 

 

 

They're making the Jazz look like an easy bet?  Really.  Then how come NOBODY WANTS THEM.

Sounds like you're heading in the right direction, XhuegoX.  I hope by football season you're able to outfit yourself with at least four places to play.  It's absolutely crucial for us bettors to cut down on the bookie's edge over us.  We can't afford to give up a half point on a game and we can't afford to take +115, for example, when +150 was available earlier in the day.  When you find yourself about to take the worst of it like that, you need to STOP and consider the other team instead.

I'm not committed yet to either game tomorrow.  I'll keep mum until I'm sure.  Earlier today I mentioned in a couple of threads that I liked Boston on the moneyline over Cleveland, but when gametime approached, I changed my mind (for reasons I'm not even sure of) and played nothing.  Then at halftime I hammered Cleveland +5.  I feel bad that someone may have played Boston (or refrained from playing Cleveland) because of what I wrote in some thread.  As bettors, there's nothing wrong with changing our minds, even multiple times.  I'd just rather wait to post close to gametime because I know that for me, the winds can change at any time. 

I will say that I highly doubt my mind will change on either game tomorrow.

Here's a couple quick questions for ya Bator, to keep your mind fresh, or anyone else that would like to chime in.

1. Selling Points. When I bet in the regular season I didn't have the balls to do it a lot, although I did do it sometimes. Now what's your thoughts, or anyone else's thoughts on this? At the book I play the most at (Pinny), typically selling 1 full point on an NBA spread will results in you picking up on average (my rough guess), an extra 18 cents juice IN YOUR FAVOR. I guess what I'm getting at here is how often does a spread fall on the number or within 1 point of it? And is picking up all that extra juice, really worth selling off a full point (and piece of your soul to the books) for? I know it would not be recommended on EVERY spread play, and you always want to absolute best of the line, but if a fella sold off a full point on all his spread bets would the extra juice picked up be enough to compensate for the inevitable losses served by selling yourself short and not getting the best of the line? EX: What looks better tomorrow? Utah -2 -102 or Utah -3 +119?......I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder but what are your overall thoughts about selling points?........well.....speaking of rambling on


2. Upcoming NFL Season. Wrong forum and very early but do you Bator (or anyone else) have any thoughts regarding the upcoming season? Specifically regarding Superbowl odds and decent longshots or who you think has the best shot. What about the regular season? Anyone else hitting the Browns UNDER Season Wins as hard as I will be?....even though I have seen to # yet.
