Recently I have been browsing the forums when making picks and I realize that I can hopefully add to the good cause and wallets of these members. I am a student at the University of Michigan so your picks will be coming from a young gun if you choose to follow them. Rest assured that I have been betting for over 5 years as I began at an early age. My specialty is NBA and I have been doing well on my picks from the get go. With that said let's post some picks and take them to the bank.
PHILLADELPHIA 76ERS +3.5 v.s. Dallas Mavericks
This is a classic trap game that the general public has fallen for once again. Philly has been playing well as of late and they catch a Dallas team that has struggled recently. Without Devin Harris, this squad seems to have lost a step and they will be without Stackhouse tonight as well. Last night Dallas was in a similar trap game with New Jersey that the Nets covered the spread easily on. Could it be possible for back to back trap games for the Mavs? I'm initially wary but as the day goes on the bets pile in for the Mavs and Vegas makes no adjustment. Bet with Vegas on this one and take Philly.
PORTLAND TRAILBLAZERS +7.5 @ Houston Rockets
This line just doesn't add up for me. Houston has played well at home with McGrady and Yao healthy, which they are tonight. However, Portland was one of the hottest teams in the league until Brandon Roy had a death in his family and missed time. Guess what? Brandon Roy is back tonight and he'll join the Blazers in a game in which the team should rally around him. Look for an inspired performance by Roy.
UNDER 209 in Los Angeles Lakers v.s. Charlotte Bobcats
The total in this game is at a large number due to the perception that the Bobcats and Lakers teams like to run and score. While the perception is normally dead on, there will be a team in this equation that won't live up to its end of the deal. That team will be the Bobcats. Watching the Bobcats face my Pistons squad last night I saw their willingness to put in the bench early and often. When their squad was getting blownout early in the first, Sam Vincent went to the bench with guys like Jamario Davidson, despite the fact that it was still early enough to erase the deficit. This team has quit on the season at this point and they will be running their bench in another blowout. Add in the fact that Gerald Wallace will be out tonight and you have a team that won't be able to contribute to the spread. The Lakers will certainly score but in order to cover a 209 spread, you need two teams to score. Go UNDER on this one.
Thats all for today, let's look to hopefully get this started off with a successful day. As always, never bet what you can't afford to lose. Thanks and good luck.

Thank you for the input as I am always interested in feedback on picks. I just personally see the Dallas game as a classic trap and the Portland game with the return of Brandon Roy pits a team that was considered the hottest team in the league when healthy against the Rockets. 7.5 points is too much to give to them considering the emotional effor that they'll put out there tonight.

Adding a final play before the 7:00 Tipoff of the NBA tonight:
LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS +3.5 @ Milwaukee Bucks
Just have a hunch about this bet with the Clippers. They normally are a rough road team to take but this game matches up well for them. Kaman has the size to handle Bogut. Magette and Cassell can run the guard play for them. The Bucks squad is too eratic to back so go with the Clips.
