Meralco +4.5 vs San Mig Coffee 174.5
Line is just about right but I think it'll be inflated by the locals. If we can get more than 5 on Meralco then get it. Meralco is a good perimeter defending team and has the tools to guard the Mixers' offense. Them lacking a real point guard will have a long day against the fiesty Chris Ross. Meralco will look to extend their winning streak to 4 while SMC will try and get back on track after falling to Ginebra last Sunday. Denzel Bowles is slowly getting there and I think this is the right spot for him to start playing like the Best Import he was last conference. Play will be on the San Mig Coffee Mixers -4.5 because of situational play.
Alaska vs Air21 Express +6.5 170.5
Air21 is a very dangerous team with almost nothing to lose. I think 6.5 is just right on the spot there anything less would be an easy play on the Aces. Air21 has played a lot of their games in a close fashion only to stumble in the waning moment or find themselves staging a furious comeback. Dunigan is perhaps the best import after the banned-Balkman and has been gobling up 37 points his last two games. Alaska isn't a tough team to decipher, you can actually read them like an open book. They play well with their system and has been very effecient on both ends of the court. Air21's playing really well this season despite their record. If you look at it they have played TnT, Barako Bull, RoS, Petron and the Meralco Bolts and average a losing margin of 3.6! Expect another close and low scoring game here. Alaska is the team who shuts the opposing imports down with their size.
Play on Meralco +6.5. Total should be really close but leaning on the UNDER as well. I got this feeling we see the local line drop come game time. If so, anything less than 5 is a play on the ACES.
