Here is the story, the last couple of weeks have been nothing but complete hell for me. When you think you can crack the book and become a millionaire over night, all the wrong things happen. I went into degenerate gambling mode and lost 8k in just about a few bets. Some of the bad beats were Rutgers bowl game, Packers game and the Cowboys game, with a few in between, but as you can see by those picks I got straight cracked and went broke and lost my bank roll completely. This was all lost to a local bookie but I took a little time off just to recuperate and now I would like to seek some help from you guys for some tips.
I am going to be starting a brand new bank roll, new slate and a new view on picking games. It is the start of a new year and hopefully I can make something positive out of it. I am going to be opening up a 5dimes account with a bank roll of $2-300 but I am not sure just yet (money is kind of tight when you need to pay the bookies). I know a lot of big cappers stress the urgency of sticking to "units", I am the type that is an all or nothing type of better and this is what clearly hurt me. Can someone tell me what type of size bets I should be making?
My goal is to run my bankroll to about 2-3k which would be almost 10k my buy in, I know it wont happen over night but there are some successful betters out there. Some of my biggest problems came when I would make big wagers on big money line favorites assuming there is no way possible they can loose but as you can tell that is not usually the case, they do LOSE occasionally.
At a time before I tried one method which was stick to one pick, and one pick only, and in fact it worked out pretty well, as I started winning money, the natural greed factor kicked in and I would start place 2 teams a night and on and on, going back to my normal degenerate gambling. Clearly one good pick a night could be the way to go but some say otherwise. I want to start this thread in order to track my plays and see if I go broke or can actually make some sort of come back. I would like this thread to become a discussion so that we all can be able to come together and rise to the top. Of course we wont win 100% of our picks but I would defiantly like to hear some tips of how to manage my bank roll I'm willing to start with and what type of games I should have my eyes on.
Thanks in advance, and lets start this new year in the plus.

Hey bro. Interesting read. In theory i believe you should play 1-2% of your bankroll. Giving you 50 unit at least. It's very important to remember that gambling is a marathon. There is always stories of people winning x thousands on a parlay of 6 teams or so. Don't to that.
Make sure you can last in the long so a bad period of loosing won't kill ya. Always remember to only gamble with money you can afford to lose. So don't play for borrowed money. Otherwise wait for a time you have the money and train instead. Analyzing games and see how you would do. Do that until you have analyzed so many games that you feel very confident you are gonna win some money. I did this and now i'm winning more than my parents earn together. And they are well fecking fed.
As of how much you should play every single game i thing it would be idiotic to play 2 or 3 dollars per game. So at a start it's more risky and i think you should play 20 dollars if you have a bankroll of 300. I did this and it takes time, but it's the right way. over time you will earn money and you bankroll will grow. And never get greedy. always think: is this a smart play before you lock it.
Hope it's helpfull man. Good luck. You can always write if you have some questions.

You sound like an action junkie and a mush. The worst kind of combination in the gambling world. It's a new year and you just shat on your bankroll so you should just quit actual wagering of money for the rest of the year and just track your plays. See if the stink of losing wears off at by the end of the year. If not, find a new hobby (or continue to go broke every other month).
Bitcoin, not crypto.

I really hope this isn't the last of ur money. Making a lot of money sports betting is not easy to do. Having said that, if I see an NBA game I like I will let you know. I have been pretty hot this year. I don't see anything I'm crazy about for Friday. Best of Luck.
My only tip is to NOT keep ur bets consistent at a low amount of money, bc the money comes from going big on some really good games that you are almost certain will hit. Also if ur interested in any other tips I've used to clear 10K the past two months PM me.

Thanks a lot man, any help is much appreciated. I decided im going to go with a 300 bank roll plus whatever fees 5dimes is going to reimburse me for the money gram deposit, so ill be rolling with about 340$. That used to be my main problem were I would see one game I really like and go all on it and loose on some ridiculous buzzer beater or last second cover, buy in again and would start chasing my money. Of couse there are some games where I will end up increasing my units were it is a great opportunity to add some units. I want to begin becoming more disciplined, when I wasn't betting and staying on the sidelines the last few days I seen how you have a different mindset when you dont have the pressure to making a correct choice. Again, thanks for your help, if you see something that comes along that you like I would appreciate the help. I might put in one or two wagers tomorrow if I like something and will use this thread as an official way to track my betting patterns, habits, units, wins or losses it doesn't matter but hopefully I will be on the better side with not so much pressure on me. I'll tell you its extremely stressful when you take Greenbay packers for example money line for 1.5k and you are risking around 3k and you see a monster like AP go for 200 yards in a game and taking the Vikings to the playoffs. Sh*t happens but like I said Im willing to make the right changes and become more disciplined and not be a degenerate anymore.

Dude, I started with less than $500, and am up +$4k.
Break your stack up and stop betting so much. Small bets to start, and set goals. Wager percentages, and follow other cappers. Read up on injuries, trends match ups and situations. The NBA is the perfect league to this with, as well as the MLB. NFL is super tough, its a really popular sport with tons of hype and emotion. Problem is there are only a few games.
In basketball and baseball, there is for sure win every day.
Good luck.

Cleveland Cavaliers +103 -This is one sh*t show vs another but I like the guard play of Kyrie Irving to be just enough to pull away from the Bobcats. $20 to win $20.60
Detroit Pistons +105 - This was a tough pick to make. I know the public is all over Hawks which is obvious. Detroit is playing good basketball and there is a slight revenge factor in this game from last weeks over time loss. Detroit is not a bad team and they don't get enough credit for there great big man play. Besides, this just goes to show me how much confidence Vegas has in Atlanta by giving them such a small spread. $20 to win $21
Houston Rockets PK - The Rockets have an emerging all star in Harden, the Bucks have one of the best back courts in the NBA but I feel that Rockets are the much better all around team here. They have it going right now and they have 13-3 ATS in there last 16 against the eastern conference. I'll take the slightly more dominant western conference team here to come out on top. $22 to win $20
9 TEAM PARLEY RISKING $5 TO WIN $298.75
Toronto Raptors -290
Cleveland Cavaliers +103
Detroit Pistons +105
Miami Heat -320
Boston Celtics -140
OKC Thunder -640
Memphis Grizzlies -460
Houston Rockets PK -110
LA Lakers +5.5
The parley is more or less just for fun, lets see what happens on my first day back.

So you basically have like 60% of your bankroll in play right now? I'm not really one to talk about money management, but that doesn't seem like you are following a healthy plan to account for variance

ride with Pitt +3.5 in the morning. They WILL beat Ole MISS su i believe, but take pts just in case. I am a homer, but was listening to thefan in PITT today and they said Sunseri and the whole team are extremely focused and want to win this one really bad. it is his last game and he has only thrown 2 picks all year , so you know they wont turn it over and will be in the game at the end with a chance to win late. Pitt will run run run some more with Graham and I dont think miss can stop the run very well and overall I just feel like Pitt will definitely win this one and not sure if olemiss will be as focused or pumped for this game.

But you can win some money starting with 300. about 2 months ago, back when the one week in nfl almost every dog hit that day, i played them all and went 12-1 that day and had 200 to start and 10 days later was up over 3000. the key is just being careful and not betting too many games until you get up to at least 5 or 600 and then you can start droppin 100 on your fav game each day and then also smaller bets. but until you get there, dont bet more than 50 on any one game. adjust your unit size as your roll increases each day. I usually play no more than 10% of my roll on any one game, but sometimes i do if i really like a game like Pitt tomorrow. If they go down i am goin down with them.lol
