Yesterday: 5-1 (+12 units) 10 units: Charlotte @ Chicago over 187.5   5 units: Memphis @ Indiana +2.5  5 units: Phoenix @ Oklahoma City over 206.5 5 units: 2nd half Phoenix @ OKC over 102.5 4 units: Atlanta @ Houston over 206.5 4 units: Atlanta @ Houston -4.5
Hope everyone had a great New Years Eve, surely some groggy mornings to kick off the new year. After a rough start with Chicago over play, rattled off 5 straight wins to end the year and my first month posting on Covers. Hoping to continue with a winning month to start 2013.
5 units: Los Angeles Clippers +1 @ Denver There aren't many trends i'm going to post on this one, the streak the Clippers have been on has been well documented but all streaks come to an end. But NOT today. Denver has been great at home this year going 9-1 but getting the Clip as underdogs, no matter how small is a must right now. I think this should be a great game. Both teams have good-great offenses but where the difference in this game lies is on the defensive end. Denver's defense has been suspect at times throughout the year while the Clipper's have really started to play well. Coming into the season Denver looked tremendously deep but as the year has gone on the Clippers now look like the deeper team with a second unit capable of putting together runs and often increasing leads as the starters are resting. Denver still struggles at the FT line and has struggled at times from 3. LAC is the play and the streak continues for another day. |

Lakers -9. Not a believer in Philly on the road and the lakers are starting to come together. |

I have Denver favored by 4. So it should def be a good game. Not enough points to lean on Denver.
Detroit line is off a lot favoring Detroit actually. Love Detroit today.

Have you consider betting 1 unit on Denver. If they lose, you bet 2.5 nits on GSW. If they lose, you go for 6.25 units on LAL. And if they lose, you go for 15.65 units on GSW ??

Amare has been downgraded to expected to miss tonight's game and Carmelo has been downgraded to questionable with ESPN New York reporting that Melo probably won't play unless he shows significant improvement by game time. If Carmelo doesn't go that obv hurts New York's offense and with a very good chance of a new years day hangover from one or both teams, i see this game staying under the total, with Portland hanging around to make it a game.

#22 Posted: 1/1/2013 2:16:14 PM New Years eve is one of the rare instances where I think a B2B is beneficial to a team as it limits the possibility of going out and celebrating a little too hard when at home. Eric Gordon has come back for New Orleans but that didn't instantly make them a good team. They were getting dummied early on by Charlotte before coming back to squeek out just their second win in their last 15 games. Atlanta has been solid on the road. I like them to get the win here in NO.
That completes my card for today, will see how these games go and will add LA Lakers -9 if I'm up. BOL to everyone today. |
