#1 Posted: 12/28/2012 5:19:13 PM Call me crazy but I believe tonight is the night the streak ends. Yes, I understand that Moe will be out. With that said, I'm taking a risk.

#3 Posted: 12/28/2012 5:45:53 PM Yes I have seen every game. They televise every game here in LA. I don't buy in much on the revenge factor, but I know Utah is thinking about that last loss.. |

#10 Posted: 12/28/2012 7:00:49 PM the clippers' starters hardly played any intense, physically draining minutes last night. Their second unit took a 12-15pt lead and increased it to like 30pts |

i was watching the 4th quarter. it was rigged as darn. touch fouls for clippers. clippers hack jazz all day, no fouls.
i'm bias, but this was obvious. even commentators were saying refs shouldn't decide game. there's boos and then there's boos. it was that bad. |

#20 Posted: 12/28/2012 11:52:02 PM Yeah man it was pretty bad. Such a sour way to lose there at the end. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! It's all good though... |

You ain't lying. First of all, I'm not that bitter about it, because while I normally split my bets between the points and the moneyline on a small underdog, this time I couldn't do it, and had a lot more on the Jazz +3.5. But what dgnowsf wrote is the truth, particularly on the offensive end for the Clippers. The refs were clearly psyched out by the Clippers' comeback and their franchise-record 15-game winning streak, which was on the line. Chris Paul was the beneficiary of several ticky-tack whistles, but so was Jamal Crawford, Matt Barnes, and DeAndre Jordan. It was as if the refs were afraid to be the ones who "jobbed" the Clippers out of their winning streak, so they (perhaps subconsciously) bent over backwards to make sure that IF the Clippers lost the game, THEY wouldn't be blamed for screwing the Clips.
The nonsense with the officiating in the 4th quarter was maddening to watch live. As it was, the Jazz were on their heels and looked like a team playing not to lose, and while the Clippers had the intensity ramped way up, they couldn't make many shots. No worries for them, though, as the so-called charity stripe took on a more literal meaning.
For those of you who want to see it for yourself, Fox Sports Net will be replaying the game from 1-3 A.M. Pacific time. Just check out the 4th quarter. I'm going to watch it again, too. I'd like to re-live the drama of the game without having to worry about the outcome this time. Plus I want to hear what Ralph Lawler and Mike Smith had to say while it was going on.
