Lakers are 1-10 this season when the infamous BALLHOG has scored 30 or more.

Scored 19 or fewer = 1.000
Scored 20-29 =.625
Scored 30 or more =.091

Lost 8 straight of him going over 30.

The glory days for LA are long gone.
Maybe the Buss family should TRADE KOBE and build around Howard and Nash/young PG.

I dont think the lake show even had the lead in this one...

Maybe a .500 team label is too generous for this team.

LOL dude. The problem is not that obvious. The whole thing is wrong with the Team. Kobe has been with Lakers for years and won championships in those years being a ball hog. So its not only him or Howard or anybody. Its the whole thing, team management, coaching, players chemistry, players relationships, i mean the whole thing. Until they figure that out. Dont bet on them.

Why wait till Nash is back? Its not offense thats the problems, its defense.

Raja Bell when playing for the Suns alongside Nash once said they he should have won defensive player of the year because not only did have to defend his man, but also Nash''.

They will become alot weaker defensively with Nash back. Do they expect to score over 130 points every night?

We dont really know the intentions of the Lakers being this bad. I dont see Kobe whining (he knows he is old) I dont see coach whining, I dont see nobody complaining. I think they are in the testing phase of the team personnel. They try something new everyday until it clicks (or not). Until then the Lakers are off everybody betting list (not even betting against them).

Im a die hard Laker fan and I said I did not want Howard on our team! I sure as hell did not think they hired the right coach! The problem aint Kobe its Jim Buss decision making! He has assembled a bad team and brought in a coach who gets no respect! It's not gonna get better til we get rid of our Jerry Jones of the nba! Jim Buss has made this respectable franchise the laughing stock of the NBA! Bynum was the right Center and Brown was a good coach! I guarantee you with those two record would be better now! KOBE IS NOT THE PROBLEM! Hell I say he the only one balling!

Kobe is not the problem. He is having a great year. His shooting percentage is up across the board. And, Metta is playing the best he has in a Laker uniform. I think they'll figure it out. Get into the playoffs about a 6 seed.

Kobe shot 57percent tonight, his teammates shot 31percent. Please explain how it's Kobe's fault for the loss. I agree Irving makes teammates better while Kobe doesn't, but def not his fault.

The problem is that the lakers don't have any role players. All they do is feed Kobe or Dwight the ball and give them an iso to make it. Now all they mostly do is swing the ball and make plays to rain open 3's which isn't a championship caliber team, especially with the guards on this team. There's also too much pressure on Kobe and D12 to do all the work and the other teams can pick it apart like nothing. Not enough weapons on offense and with D'antoni as head coach their defense has gotten so SOOFFFFTTTT AND CUDDDLYYYY.

This team needs to find a rhythm of trusting each other and playing more loosely and freely. Relying on Kobe and D12 like they've been doing is going to push them further into a hole. No one's willing to step up in Kobe's presence and it's not his fault, just need more confident players such as fish, odom, and the old laker crew. If Jcrawford was to be in the lakers would be a whole different ball game.

Yeah that pretty much sums it up, but it's not that Kobe doesn't make the players around him better, it's that the players around Kobe pretty much suck. If you think about it, the Lakers team has a very hollow bench, especially with nash and blake (overrated) out. They allow Kobe's aura to mess with their game and don't play the way they would normally because of the pressure. But mainly they just can't find a rhythm as a team, the chemistry is out of funk and they don't know who to go to other than Kobe or D12. Too many iso plays and raining 3's when they're not a great team for the 3 ball. Starting to remind me of a Magic team D12 was on few years ago, except they were better....

Might be one of the stupidest posts I have ever seen.  He has to score to keep them in games because no one else can put the ball in the bucket.  They have the worst Point Guard duo in the NBA right now in Morris and Duhon so Kobe has to facilitate and score.  He was 16/28 tonight while the rest of the TEAM was 15/47 and you're gonna criticize Kobe? Unreal.  He made more shots tonight than the rest of the team shooting 19 less attempts.

Kobe Bryant is also 34 years old in his 17th year in the league and shooting a career high in FG %, 3 Point %, and FT % but you come on here and criticize Kobe? lol maybe watch the games once in a while.  if Dwight Howard could make a damn free throw or had any post moves, the Lakers would be a much better team.

The glory days for the Lakers are gone because Howard is trash, Gasol has lost all his confidence, their coach doesnt know anything about defense and this is the worst bench they have had in the past 5 years.

If there is anything positive about the team, Its Kobe. The reason his high scoring coincides with them losing is because of his understanding of the game. He was gives his team a chance to run offense but when he realizes that it is not working and the game is getting away from them, he tries to take over, which is generally unsuccessful because you can rarely single handedly beat another team.

So kobe is hurting his team scoring 42 pts on almost 60 % shooting tell me who else would make up the difference shooting at that percentage for lakers.... il wait?????? If he doesnt keep hos team in games they get blown out.

If this is Kobe's team... Why are they losing?   Don't forget statistics are not facts... This website lives on posting statistics and so does ESPN and every sport's channel.  Kobe may not be the solution..He just might be the problem.

And yes he had shaq but people forget even wen he had shaq how he carried them back then in 4th quarter wen phil benched shaq cuz of foul shooting. Quit hating on a 34 yr old who just dropped 42 shooting 60% u sound dumb
