Ya it is truly a ridiculous offer... Lin isn&#x27;t worth 2 million a year on their roster.  Felton is 10 times the player he is.  If he wasn&#x27;t Asian mark my words this would have been a non-issue from the beginning.

If felton is better than Lin, he will not be jumping from one team to another. He has been in the league for a couple of years already and has been a decent player but thats all that he can give.  Knicks doesnt need this kind of player, they need to take a gamble with Lin who has still room for improvement and does jive well with teh current roster. Also kidd can serve as his mentor, both of them have high basketball IQ. Yes, the offer is a bit high but i think that he deserves it considering his performance and attitude.  There are lots of nba players (anthony, etc) who were given multi million deals but are not performing as expected. He should be given a chance by the knicks....

I just think Carmelo is in no place to say that some other person's contract is ridiculous. It's up to Knicks management to say that. If he thinks that JLin's contract is ridiculous, then Amare's contract is more than ridiculous. Other than NYKnicks, all of the other teams thought Amare only deserves half of the price we are giving to him. Carmelo's contract is too high too.

This is Houston's PR move. They know that they can't win a championship with or without JLin. So why not move another direction and use the NBA as a business source? Maybe if the teams gain some popularity with ratings and marketing that it could attract superstars to go there. That's the problem with the NBA these days. Everyone wants to play for teams that have either a better locale or marketplace. Look at Felton. This kid was so pissed off playing for Denver and Portland. He's probably the happiest man right now coming back to NYC.

I don&#x27;t know if anyone here play the stock market but MSG stock (MSG) has been taking a swan dive since the news about possible not signing JLin.  This is one of the reason why NYKnicks had not officially come out and say that they would not sign JLin.  Once this news breaks out, the MSG stock will take another drop.  Should had short this sucker from the beginning.  I don&#x27;t blame Knicks for not getting JLin back.  The 3rd year is way too expensive and NYKnicks would have to pay almost $57million dollars in luxury taxes.  But nevertheless, this issue wouldn&#x27;t had occurred if NYKnicks made the right move and offered him 2 years for $11 million.  I can bet you guys that despite Miami winning the championship again next year and NYKnicks probably getting past first round, Houston Rockets would still make more money than any team in the NBA.  If Rockets do make it to the playoffs, then they will make way more!

Knicks franchise will completely be over....very stupid decision. Financially, they can pay Lin teh contract as he will be giving the team more money in return. Lin can also help out the team as he can be the missing link to teamwork.

Very stupid decision.......anyway, getting and signing big contracts for carmelo and amare is already studid in the first place...
