#1 Posted: 5/23/2012 11:30:18 AM This team is, by FAR, the team that I just abhor the most in any sport that I can recall in my lifetime. Two supremely talented players who are also prima donnas and whiners and are more than willing to rub victories in their opponents' faces. No honor or integrity, and I'm way more disappointed in Wade with his actions than LBJ cause I expected it with LBJ and his childish behind.
It's an absolute travesty that Haslem wasn't tossed out of Game 5. It was inexcusable that the refs blew that call and only gave him a flagrant one. If the league had any stones, they'd suspend Haslem two games for that one.
Down with the Heat.

LOL I don't see anyone crying? I'm just saying I don't like the Heat and the way they play ball. I've made money betting on them and against them since LBJ came on the scene.
I'm a basketball fan, nothing more, nothing less. I have no favorite "team", but I absolutely do root against MIA as they don't play the game the right way IMO

They will catch theirs before this tournament is over. Starting with Haslem and that other stiff being suspended for next game. Heat backers better hope there is no game 7, cause that's when James stays at hotel. |

#10 Posted: 5/23/2012 1:10:15 PM This series is very chippy from both sides.... You cant single out the heat.... The pittman foul deserves a suspension, but even david west was quoted as saying he didnt have problem with the haslem foul....
Bird is critizing his own team for playing soft.... he didnt say anything about the heat playing dirty...
I hate the heat as much as the next guy, cant stand watching them in the half court when they take so many bad shots (but make them because of their talent), but after their horrible effort in game 3, they stepped up their intensity and the pacers havent been able to match it..... |

#11 Posted: 5/23/2012 1:54:18 PM It was Indiana who had dirty tactics to mess up wade and lebron's game plan. Good thing both of them are wise enough not to fall for it and just continue to play good basketball.
Give Miami Heat a break, it took 6 games before they retaliated. Someones got to teach this bums a lesson... For hurting wade and LBJ. They deserve it after all.
Pittman? Yes he deserves suspension. Haslem? Yes but Psycho T should be suspended as well. |

Gettin in James' face and Wade's face dirty tactics? That what you mean? Think he was callin' them out for girl they are. See if they can make Granger pay. |

For the life of me, I have no idea what Bird meant by "soft". Indiana has been playing physical all series. Does he want them to go Manny Pacquiao or Frank Mir on Miami? Maybe more forearm shivers like the type Pittman dished out?
Maybe he meant "soft" in a mental or philosophical sense. |

#14 Posted: 5/23/2012 2:42:56 PM @ composite - i think bird means "soft" from a energy/focus perspesctive thats allowing indiana to get beat on the boards by a smaller team and allowing james and wade to establish position jn the paint so easily. they are not boxing out hard and putting a body on guys, especially james, allowing offensive rebounds.... miami on their defensive end is pushing guys around in the paint... even guys like mike miller are winning their 1-on-1 rebounding battles with the guy they are gaurding.... if pacers dont win the rebounding battle, they have zero chance.... more times than not, rebounding is about boxing out, being physical and hustle.... pacers have to generate offensive rebounds and completely eliminate heat offensive rebounds....

I was thinking the exact same thing last night @ the end of the game, esp' when I heard that one of the Heat winked to his bench after their flagrent.
Just simply CLASSLES!!
Wade has become the new Kobe, arrogant and narcistic as all hell. That being said, it's the same case as Kobe, I have the utmost respect for him as a player, but as an individual no way! I didn't even bet yesterday, so completely as a fan I was disgusted watching the game and I can only imagine some Miami fans are ashamed and embarrassed to watch their squad act so juvenille.
Bottom line they make themselves easy to hate............. |

#16 Posted: 5/23/2012 3:17:18 PM please dont compare Wade to Kobe, not on same level sorry.Kobe had his moments but he pretty much brought it every single night to win. Wade to use a quote of Ahhhhnold is "Girly man" on many nights. These guys have the audacity to complain about other times excess celebrations when they infact are the biggest showboating primdonna sissy floppers I have ever seen. |

#24 Posted: 5/23/2012 5:32:01 PM Begging the ref for calls should be a technical foul. I agree. A grown man shouldn't whine so much. They fake enough fouls already. You don't see Durant acting half as immature as these guys when he goes down. Wade has also changed alot. I liked the old Wade. I think the MIA spotlights are getting to him a little. |
