#3 Posted: 5/10/2012 1:53:17 PM If this is too long to read then just read my last sentence to explain what is happening in the NBA.
If anyone watches the NBA, it is all about CHAMPIONSHIPS. The new thing to do is to form SUPER TEAM aka having multiple SUPERSTARS on one team. The NBA owners are not big fans of this because all SUPERSTARS only want to play in big cities where there are plenty of women and things to do at night. This is just common sense, and this is where is gets complicated. |

#4 Posted: 5/10/2012 1:55:22 PM Cities where ALL players want to go but SUPERSTARS can force owners/teams to get them there:
New York Knicks: Carmelo, Amare, Chandler Miami Heat: LeBron, Wade Bosh Los Angeles Lakers: Kobe, Pau, Bynum Brooklyn Nets (NY Second Team): Deron, ?, ? Los Angeles Clippers (LA Second Team): CP3 (FA Soon), Griffin. ? Dallas Mavericks: Dirk, ?, ? |

#7 Posted: 5/10/2012 2:04:36 PM I will not explain the entire NBA situation because everyone knows that LeBron did it the wrong way. He brought too much attention and everyone turned against him. Carmelo did it the right way, even though everyone knew he wanted to go to New York and guess what it happened.
This is where Dwight went wrong. He DOES NOT know where to go? The only thing we do know is he DOES NOT want to be in Orlando. He would love to pair up with Deron in Brooklyn with Jay-Z but does Orlando want to trade in its own conference like what Cleveland did. HELL NO. History shoed that if they don't get it done this summer, they will lose Dwight like they lost Shaq 10 years ago. |

#8 Posted: 5/10/2012 2:10:09 PM Deron Williams would like to play in Dallas, but the only way he comes back home is if he takes less money. Now why would an NBA player do that? SUPERSTARS want large MAX CONTRACTS and they dictate teams trade them to the cities I listed above. or they will just walk out. Orlando will not let Dwight just walk for nothing so who can trade them the best deal.
Before I continue on the conspiracy of the NBA, lets talk about the current NBA Playoffs. If you got back to the 1999 NBA Playoffs, the San Antonio Spurs won the NBA championship with an *ASTERISK*. No one wants to win a championship with an *ASTERISK*. Now who really wants to win this years championship, Lebron has already came out and said he wants to win it with an *ASTERISK* or no asterisk. He just wants some rings. Spurs already have one with an *ASTERISK* so they want some more. OKC is young and talented and jsut want to prove that a young team can play with the best. Here comes the kicket, THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS. |

#9 Posted: 5/10/2012 2:13:40 PM Kobe wants to win his sixth ring because he can tie Jordan so he can prove that he was just as good or even better than Air Jordan. (Personally he is better b/c he won titles facing a zone defense. Go look it up and then come argue.) Can this years Lakers theam win it All? I say NO. There seems something wrong with this team. Will Mike Brown win a title in his first year? NO DO they have a strong bench? NO If Kobe wins this title will he have six championships? Yes* but you see the *ASTERISK*. Jordan never had an asterisk.
Time to sum all this up. If LA Lakers lose to Denver in Game 6, they will lose Game 7 or if the Clipper advance further than the Lakers this year Lakers Fans will be outraged for the first time Clippers are the talk of the town. |

#10 Posted: 5/10/2012 2:17:00 PM Once Lakers are eliminated, here is the trades that bring LA LAKERS BACK.
Brooklyn trades Deron for Pau Gasol and some trash. Orlando trades Dwight for Bynum and some trash.
Next year LA has its trio: Kobe, Deron, Dwight
Which would you rather have, continue with this lousy team and lose in the Western Conference Finals or just get their butts kicked and go for it next year. As a Mavs fan this will be the worst things for us as we did everything we can to make cap space for Deron and Dwight but we have nothing to trade for them so we have the bag of garbage at the end.
What do you guys think?
My money on Denver for Game 6 and 7.
Peace

#14 Posted: 5/10/2012 3:00:39 PM As long as Stern is in charge Lakers will never win a title again. I am surprised Lakers are leading the Nuggets in this series, because Lakers season was already over, when Stern didn't let Paul go to the Lakers. Stern destroyed the Lakers before season has started. Sterns golden Boy is Queen James and he will not retire before his Loverboy has a ring. And therefore he will it never let happen, that Howard and Deron play along with Kobe in one team. This 3 playing together means automatically, Queen James will never win a ring in the next years. And Stern will never let that happen. |

You are incorrect, If LeBron never gets his title, it keeps the level of Drama up. If he wins this year, everyone will then say LOCKOUT TITLE. So this year playoffs is just BS.
Plus, do you guys remember when Wade and Stern got in a fight during the Lockout. If you try to screw with the boss, the boss will get the last laugh.

#16 Posted: 5/10/2012 3:24:17 PM Wow...this is an absolutely atrocious theory - conspiracy or otherwise.
There are a lot of things wrong with your theory but the glaring standout is the fact that Dwight does NOT want to go to LA because he does NOT want to play with Kobe. The feeling is mutual in that regard. |

#19 Posted: 5/10/2012 6:05:10 PM Your theory is wrong and already proven wrong before the 2012 season. If this is true, why did Stern veto the Chris Paul to Lakers trade.

#20 Posted: 5/10/2012 6:09:32 PM Those trades may happen but what difference does it make if Lakers get eliminated by the Nuggets or get eliminated next round against the Thunder?

#21 Posted: 5/10/2012 6:10:46 PM WHY STERN VETOED THE CHRIS PAUL TRADE TO LAKERS:
Stern did not want to veto the trade. NBA owners own the New Orleans Hornets and this trade made no sense for the following reason:
The Lakers, Rockets, and Hornets trade involved bunch of players and salary being swapped. Each team got the players they wanted but the Los Angeles Lakers got the best player CP3 and traded high salary players Odom and Pau. At the end Lakers lowered their salary so they would have room to get Dwight Howard eventually. The owners especially Cuban(Mavs) and the Cavs owner got pissed off rejected this trade(since they each own 1/30 of the team) saying Lakers should not get the best player and lower their team salary.
Thats why once the trade got vetoed, Lakers had to trade Odom b/c they are struggling with the salary cap and the owner does not have additional revenue coming in. The Lakers owner Mr. Buss, this is his number one asset. Most owners have Millions in other businesses and the teams they own is just for fun. |
