#1 Posted: 4/24/2012 5:59:37 PM Hornets -2.5 LARGE PLAY
GS simply HAS to lose tonight to have a shot at the #7 seed. If they win they are pretty much DONE with their first round pick
It's hard for me to believe a team is that damn stupid. That said they won the last game, but I HAVE to believe there's huge pressure on Mark Jackson to somehow tank this game. Because he's gonna be the coach next year and if they don't have a first round pick/any hope he's as good as gone
NO on the other hand much less interest in losing, though they'd like to stay in the bottom 3

#2 Posted: 4/24/2012 6:07:52 PM If the Warriors win at least one of their last 2, they have a 10% chance of having a pick in the top 7
If they lose both, they have a 70% chance
Any questions?

They give the pick to Utah if it's not in the top 7

#9 Posted: 4/24/2012 6:41:11 PM I'm actually more worried about Jenkins, McGuire and Rush, probably more so Jenkins. Dude is trying his damndest to make the roster next year. played 48 minutes last game and put up something like 20-10. |

#10 Posted: 4/24/2012 6:42:20 PM The Warriors are starting 4 rookies, all those guys will be with the team next year presumably, so they do have a vested interest in doing what is best for the person in charge of their future and signing their checks. As they've been doing they tend to play lackadaisical D and just rack up stats, they haven't really been getting blown out but they give up enough of a cushion that they can't really come back and win it from. They won over the Wolves because the Wolves are just so heinously bad that there wasn't much they could do but win that game IMO.
Hornets aren't a "lock" tonight, but IMO they are a very strong play as people will be losing their jobs if the Warriors play to win the game.

#11 Posted: 4/24/2012 6:45:36 PM Your theory is logical. But considering they were down 21 in the 2nd half last game on the road and came back to win tells me that this theory is not being applied. It's probably 'fan appreciation night' or something like that at oracle tonight and these idiots will come out and get the win. |

#12 Posted: 4/24/2012 6:47:10 PM I'd say it's almost a guarantee the Warriors win, just because they're the Warriors.
When is the last time they've done anything logical when it came to the draft...93 with Webber? Who they instantly traded after making the playoffs. I just don't understand this franchise. |

#13 Posted: 4/24/2012 6:50:57 PM fellas i realize the warriors kids on the court are doing all they can to secure their spot on the team...
but that doesn't mean they'll win the game does it
and yes the warriors have a history of screwing up things. as someone said it ain't no lock but it's a LARGE play for me

#15 Posted: 4/24/2012 6:57:39 PM Neither team has a "solid" point guard starting this game or coming off the bench for that matter... I see HIGH TURNOVER RATIO... UGLY GAME!!
GO UNDER!!!

#19 Posted: 4/25/2012 1:33:40 AM game lands on a number that kills NO backers and helps the warriors "draft wise"....couldn't have scripted it better if you happen to be a GS backer and fan.....although dunno how many of those are actually out there |
