I'm new to this forum and I was wondering if you knew any one who uses this strategy and if not maybe some one can shed some lights if this strategy would work.
The first strategy I've noticed, especially in NBA contests section, there are a couple of guys who only pick Favorites as their picks. So for example, yesterday there were 2 games, Orlando Magic vs Boston Celtics and LA Clippers vs Memphis Grizzlies. So what some of these contest players do is always pick the favorites, which means LA Clippers and Orlando Magic.I've noticed players such as DDailer and Bloodhound are above 57% using this strategy but its not clear if it always works, since they also pick under and over.
In any case, I was thinking of using this strategy in Live Betting. In many situations, I've noticed that the odd makers are pretty good in making spreads and many times, the games are decided close to the spread. So I wonder if this strategy can work:
Today Portland is favored by 9.5 points, lets just assume, one of the bookies has a live betting going for this game and in the First Half Phoenix is losing by a couple of points but the odds for the handicap has reduced to Portland -4.5 points.
My Strategy would be to pick the favorite each time and if there is a minimum of 3 point difference, no matter how bad the outlook of the game is, I'd sticky by my rules and trigger the pick.
Any of you guys think this would work, would it fail miserably? Suggestions or any type of records are welcome!
Thanks

Its similar ? as betting 2nd half lines in football. I were doing that in NCAA but were betting the second half underdogg when losing by 7 or more .It worked well. not as good in NFL 10 or more pts at least hit at a better rate.. Good luck sometimes wth these sytems the work at diffrent times and using it spareingly is the key NOTHING IS FOOL PROOF
