#1 Posted: 4/18/2011 1:27:38 AM NBA Regular Season YTD: 432-320-16 NBA Playoffs YTD: 8-8
Went 0-4 with my play over night but got the save going 5-0 with my 2nd half plays. Damn, this post season is a pain at the moment. Crazy stuff happening which is really good that's what makes this thing very interesting.
The 76ers flashed their mettle and almost managed to make a steal in day 1 of the post season if it weren't for Wade. Miami was as expected in game 1. The Superfriends took over in every stretches taking alternating turns. Philadelphia were very persistent and was on their tail the whole game which makes it very enticing to hop on that 9.5 points. The play here is the Philadelphia 76ers +9.5. I know, I was very high on the Heat in Game 1 and after seeing the 76ers play chase, you gotta give them credit for being able to stick with the Heat with no real star to take the spot light. I'm more confident now with this pick than I was with the Heat on Game 1. I think having two superstars are a double edged sword like everyone else would. If it were only LBJ or Wade, they'd be going to them on every possession and when they caught fire, there's no telling whether they'd win from 10 to 25. Jrue can score on the Heat and whoever guard they put on the 1 spot. I'm not expecting from Elton Brand but he'll pretty much put up 10+ points and not really putting much effort on stopping Bosh. In all their games, Bosh managed to get up to 15+ on him on 50% shooting. I say, Iggy gives LeBron a hard time leaving Wade the key guy for the Heat. I'm scratching my head now but as I dig some more with the matchup, I only notice Young to have always been consistent against the Heat posting somewhere near 15 points and 5 boards in their meetings.
Miami will go up with a matching effort in the first quarter and I'm pretty sure Coac Spoelstera will emphasize on the importance of starting strong. If it weren't for the 31-19 1Q of the 76ers, they could've lost by 15+ easy. I see the game going like the 2nd half of Game 1. 76ers will come knocking then the Heat will storm up front to build a comfortable lead. Miami allows somewhere from 80-90 points for the 76ers while they go for 90-100 points. Pretty close to the set total which isn't a good sign. I'll be watching the game closely for 2nd half plays (5-0 in the post season so far. lol).
Weird line. Game opened at 11 now at 12 in some areas. Game has it at 11.5 and barely moved from there. A lot of what ifs are running on a lot of people's mind and after D-Rose decided to take over the game and win it for the Pacers, I myself am converted to Derrick Rose-ism. Man, he's crazy good and can I just say that play with the kick out to Korver kinda reminds me of the Jordan-Kerr thing. Anyway, Pacers still sticks with the Bulls and covers. Indiana Pacers +12.0. I don't see them changing anything with the way they played. Pacers sticks with the Bulls and if that happens, it means points will be dropping. I hope the Bulls will be down 6 to 9 by half time so the 2nd half would be gold! OVER 192.0.
BOL.

#7 Posted: 4/18/2011 2:15:17 AM Great write up, as always.I was thinking of taking Pacers+6 at half time. I think that this is a safer bet than the full time since bulls go wild at second half. I just don't think I can risk it. Although 12 points is still a lot to cover in the playoffs.
What do you think? |

#10 Posted: 4/18/2011 9:29:22 AM I like Sixers, but I think that Chicago will win by DD because the line should be at around 6.5-9.5 if they can really match up the bulls and as we saw, they didnt play ball till 2 mins in the fourth quarter, infact they were playing like the charlotte bobcats for 46 mins of the game. Just sharing! BOL.

Chicago. If they show better defense and keep in front from the beginning of the game, i think it will be under and victory in DD. But if pacers will have more space like in game 1, they will run and they will score. So in that case I think they can covers +12easily and also make over in 192. I expecting Bulls very concentrated from the beginning. And i expect under in this game. Pacers shoot too well from 3 pt. Also bulls had excellent game finish in game1

#21 Posted: 4/18/2011 5:22:48 PM like the plays cmm.....if you think it will be repeat of last game then over 97(96.5) 1ST HALF looks good too.....last 5 games in miami averaged 101.6 for 1st half and both teams averaged 40% on baskets and 80% on free throws in last game.....just a thought....GL |
