I have over 400$ bucks on pokerstars right now that I will probably never get. I know thats chump change to alot of people on there. Still pissed about it tho. IS THE SPORTSBETTING INDUSTRY NEXT TO GET SHUT DOWN!!!!!!??????

I dont think that matters. I think 5dimes is located in the carribean. As long as ur a US citizen using US banks to transfer funds its considered a no no and is apt to being shut down. MAYBE IM OVERREACTING. But they sure as hell know how to ruin my weekend. I wanted to bet these games.

I don't think it will happen anytime soon. Government is concentrating on poker for now. Maybe in few months.

5dimes is ripe with fraud. they process deposits inside theUS only a matter of time before they get shut down.

I have over 10k on stars, my buddy has 122k.

Don't worry, you will get your money, it will just take a while.

When Neteller shut down, it took 9months to get my 3500.  But, I got it.

havent read through but I am assuming that all American gambling will be e(a)ffected(i am bad with effected vs affected lol). I would take out a good chunk from your account just in case something does happen to sportsbooks as well.

I am staying in for the NBA playoffs and than withdrawing basically all the winnings except for a couple hundred to start back up for baseball season again.

Don't worry bout it man, they are too busy with poker to bother to focus on sports betting atm. Will be atleast a couple months (prob 6+) for them to get sorted out enough to shut any down. Offshore betting sites are fine though. I'm canadian though so don't have anything to worry about

I know this has to do with fraud and money laundering as to why some of these poker sites are getting shut down.

However does anybody think there is an ulterior agenda by the state governments on this one?  For example, over 12 states are considering legislation allowing online gambling - however the provisions won't cover sports betting.  NJ and Delaware have talked about legalization of sports betting for a few years now, still yet to do it I believe.  I believe the state governments (many who are facing a budget crisis) are starting to realize how much money they have been missing out on.  

As one hole is closed another is opened - yes?

yeah they already got at sportsbooks a long time ago with a few folks like pinnacle and some other books leaving U.S. customers alone.  Now they are messing with Poker Sites.  Because people think that Poker is not really gambling, more passive.  But the the FEDs have their sites set on the poker sites now....  So poker sites beware.

As for 5 dimes, I haven't placed a bet with them in months as they are deteriorating quickly IMO.  I do have a few NBA futures pending there for the beginning of the season, as soon as they are over - I am completely with that site.
