I'm done with sports betting for awhile. This shit is just getting out of control. Every game that I look at and feel good in, for one reason or another I end up not betting it. I didn't get to put in my Atlanta bet in time today, so instead I played Dallas -2. So much for a sure thing.

I was on Dallas too but there are no sure things. The game was close throughout.

Why the fuck would betting on Dallas be a sure thing at the Rose Garden.

The only sure thing is that you'll be back.

i gambled boatloads of fkn dough IN MY 20'S AWAY. Roughly 75 to 80 grand gone in 7 yrs and felt the same way. Im back in my 40's a little wiser and pik my spots. I wager every night but dont play the amount of game sI used to. Its a cyclical thing for winning and losing. Take a break,clear your mind and come back when you arent betting out of anger or chasing.

Heh SHE, I definitely feel your pain.  I know better than anyone how losing feels.  I fucked off big units within the past couple weeks.  If I could've just taken a BREAK instead of betting every single day, I would still be doing ok.  But of course, I was chasing another BIG unit, and of course, I never quite got there.  And once you cut your bankroll in half, you get pissed off and start making stupid bets.

Aside from that, the same thing would happen to me.  I would like 2 or 3 picks, but the one I went with would always be a lemon.  OR I would see a perfect bet, and would wait too long, and the second before I hit "confirm" it would go off the board.  And then of course it would it.

When I pick an underdog of 5-8 points, they lose by like 30.  When I pick a favorite, they always win by 1-2 points under the cover.  My 2nd half unders go into OT, and when I go 2nd half OVER, they hold the ball for the rest of the game. 

When I bet on the Heat 3 games in a row, they lost every time.  When I stopped, they suddenly started winning like crazy.

It's basketball!  It's totally unpredictable, and you're right, these fucking millionaires that get to throw a ball through a hoop for a living don't give a shit when they play well or not.  Half the time it feels like they're deliberately doing the opposite of what gamblers expect to empty our pockets.

In short, I feel your pain.  Wait until baseball season.. that's what I'm doing.  Baseball capping is WAY easier than NBA capping.  I don't know why I'm still fucking with this sport.  NFL or MLB are way better odds.

Hats off to us for trying.  You're not the only one that feels cursed.

what should I do with it people

you should find a winning strategy then stick to it. & learn to manage your money properly. & learn to manage emotions, so when you get cold you step off before doing too much damage. Your gonna be back. so read some books on how sharps do it.

When you get 3 plays in a day, decide how much you wanna lose then split all the plays between that number. then you dont psych yourself out passing on winners.

decide on an amount to wager that wont make you mad if you lose it, make it your standard bet daily. Take a stand & bet big few & far between. Wait for the home run pitch.

Lol I was literally laughing out loud while I was read this. I knew what you meant on each one of those points. Ive done that shit soo many times. Oh and I also lost 3 times in a row on the heat and then faded them when they finally decided to win too haha

Tonight I thought the hawks looked awesome as well as the bulls. Last minute I decided against the hawks because a few cappers i respect were all over the deer. So I made it a no play. Then I went to put in me bet for the bulls at bodog and it was off the board... I decided to go with a NY ML bet and a mavs bet instead. We all saw how that turned out haha

Its just how this game goes, you win some you lose some. One thing that I keep telling myself to do but never do is... trust your own leans... dont change your mind because you read something that made sense from someone else. I keep doing that. I looked back on my bets and If i had not changed my mind last minute due to someones write-up... I would have up'd my over all win rate by more than 15%

***before I say this, I DONT CARE IF ITS A BAD IDEA OR NOT, It has been working for me and thats all i care about***

One thing that has been working for me and my bankroll is rather than limiting myself to one or two games and betting larger on them. I have been much more successful at betting a much smaller amount on each game I am feeling. Before any of you take this wrong.. I am not saying to bet on every game all the time.. BUT, if you are feeling 3 or 4 games strongly than I would bet a smaller amount on each. If you are only feeling 1 out of 8 games then only bet one.. Also, I bet the same amount on EVERY game. NO matter how confident I am on it. Ive learned that anything can happen in sports and most of the time your surprised by something by the end of the night. Keeping it the same helps against the giant swings.

Over all this has helped me avoid situations like you had tonight SHE. I used to always feel 3 or 4 games but try and decide which one I liked the best and bet big on it. I couldnt handle losing that one and seeing all the others win lol

Oh and one other thing I have been doing lately is... Rather than just doing a straight bet on the set spread. I have been finding one ML bet that I feel has zero chance of hitting (normally worse than -500) and parlaying it with the team I want. That way I can buy 3 points without paying a bunch of juice. Ive found that vegas is pretty accurate with their spreads and I used to ALWAYS miss it by one or 2 points. I normally use the same ML for 3 to 4 bets, That way in case the ML is doing bad, I have a chance to make a larger bet against it at half time... and considering It was a ML of a heavily favored team.. It makes it very easy to find a great counter line.

I dont know if you like that idea or not but I thought I would share it.

GL guys, take a break and clear your head. Then start again but with small bets just to get going. Hey, Bodog even takes 1 dollar straight bets. Thats how I started to build my bankroll lol

typical Muppet, upset about some bad beats, it is just like any other type of gambling, you're going to lose no matter what, the whole point is to minimize your loses
