Sheesh, man, Dwight Howard is being overlooked for the MVP? I'm, like, WTF, man?
Here's why in Dwight's own words:
"Most of the MVPs are picked before the season starts. That's how it's always been," Howard said. "Everybody knows that to be considered the MVP you have to be the guy who scores a lot of points. ….So nobody pays attention to rebounds or blocked shots or defense. It's all about points."
That's why. And that sucks, man.
He's such a beast at the boards and now his offensive game has been upped a notch. He has such an astounding physique -- it's like poetry playing basketball. And 6% body fat? Damn, man.
Normally I would not make a bet based on just one guy to carry a team, especially against a talent-loaded team in the Heat, but if Howard, Nelson and the rest of the team step up their game, a point spread bet and a separate ML bet might be the way to go. But road dogs don't usually win, so I dunno about this bet idea. Bad bet, perhaps.
If Howard can play well against the next two tough opponents, and especially win, then he would be considered by many more for MVP.
