The tough part of their situation came not last night in their home game, but TONIGHT in their road game. I may have to buck the trendy "back the team that just beat the Lakers" trend in favor of the more proven "fade the team that just played a single home game on one days rest after returning from a road trip of four games or more and now has to board a plane again to play the next night somewhere else" trend. Nice, nice.....

And I just did. Chicago Bulls -3.5 -105 at Pinnacle.

Okay, if you say so. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go double my wager.

If you have, hammer22, then there's two things you should get through your skeptical skull. One, that I never lie about my wagers. And two, if I buy out of a play, I post that information before the game starts, not later on "when the original bet doesn't look good."

You're referring to last night's Pacers/Warriors game, in which I mentioned earlier in the day that I was on Golden State -4 -110. Then, before the game began, I posted that I had ditched the play at Matchbook by taking Indiana +4 +115 (which was actually an offer I had made at Matchbook and had accepted by other bettors, or am I already going over your head here?) Golden State trailed for much of the game and wound up winning by only 2 points. I not only saved the money that would have been lost on Golden State, but I also profited $320 on the -4 -110/+4 +115 scalp. Is that an amateur move, hammer22? Well, is it??
Come to think of it, can you cite any other examples in the last two weeks, or two months, or whatever - where I bought out of a play? Because off the top of my head, I can't remember. But if you can jog my memory, I'm sure I can explain exactly what happened and why I did it. You know, if that would ease your mind and make you more comfortable with what I'm doing.

aireent777, don't think it didn't sink my spirits just a little to see you with a big bet on the Bulls this morning. I hope I can win tonight in spite of that.

What were the other two times, hammer22? What were they? Tell me what they were and I will be happy to explain to you the thought process behind them.

Hey, don't lash out at me just because you're in a bankroll death spiral in the NFL and NBA. That sounds like a willneverstop problem to me.

I can understand that playing at the amateur level sometimes makes it confusing to understand why I make some of the moves that I do, but I've been betting on sports in a serious way for a long time and I know what I'm doing.
