The grind continues...
On a sidenote -- to the young guys who are married or have a girlfriend, sometimes you need to put your foot down even if it will absolutely piss your wife off. Case in point for me last night: there was significant rain the last 4 days in central California where I reside, and I came back from a San Francisco vacation to find a portion of my backyard had flooded into my outdoor patio room. The wife asks me to pick up some sandbags on the way home from work, so I do. The sandbags were being filled by volunteers at a local park and they filled trashbags with the sand. Some trashbags were more sturdy than others, and when I was attempting to move them through the house, a few broke and spilled sand in the garage and in a portion of the entryway to the house from the garage. My wife works out daily in the garage and so when we she got done last night, she wanted me to come out and help with cleaning the sand up. What that really meant was she wanted me to just OK her idea to clean the sand rather. Rather than fight with her about it, I just said fine, do it your way even though I foresee disaster with her method. Mine was to sweep all the sand (which was in nice piles because I stopped when I realized that the sand was leaking and put the bags down.) Her genius method to clean the sand was to USE A FREAKING LEAFBLOWER to try to blow the sand out of the garage. I knew this was going to make the problem worse, but I didn't say anything. Well fucking sure enough, now there is sand EVERYWHERE and guess who has to clean the entire garage this weekend? That's right, yours truly. Moral of the story: do not avoid the confrontation when doing so will just result in more work for yourself.
Plays:
1. Dallas Mavericks ML (+145), 1 to win 1.45 -- people are really overthinking this line if you ask me. Basically just look at my DAL write-up from yesterday to see what I think about DAL on the road against quality competition/playoff caliber squads. I expect this will be a super-public play and I am hesitant to go any higher than risking one unit because of how far off I think this line is. Honestly I think I would have set it at DAL -3.5 or 4. ORL is coming off a back to back as well, so its not like its just DAL that may have tired legs. I hope people are starting to realize that DAL are freaking road warriors. They have lost once in the last MONTH, and that includes some serious competition they are beating: MIA, PHX, POR, UTAH, HOU, SAS, OKC, and ATL. Trends are significantly favoring DAL in this spot and to be able to get +145 on a DAL win where I believe I should legitimately be laying -150 or so for that price is something I can't pass up, "sucker/trap" line or not.
Checking out the rest of the card but wanted to lock that one in...

That leaf blower to the sand was probably the single dumbest thing I've ever seen my wife do... and of course I'm the bad guy for pointing out that this is the exact reason why I thought it was a bad idea.
Women can be the fucking rake man, they are the rake sometimes.
The key is to finding one that does stupid, irrational things on the least frequent basis as possible.

I sympathize with your frustrations. Been there done that. ""LEAFBLOWER"" lol. Is that what their called. For a minute there i thought you were talking about the Toronto Maple LEAFS, cause they blow big time.
Good call on the Mavs last night. Your talking points was spot on when you said the line was inflated. My greedyness kept me from playing the MAVS. I waited and waited thinking this line was gonna go to 8.

Thanks 44, I appreciate the kind words. That game really broke down how I expected it to just like the LA Clippers game did. I'm on a hot streak right now so I'm just trying to keep a long term approach and not do anything stupid like increase my units or something, trying very hard to stick with 1-2 units for all plays with a rare, rare 3 unit play here or there (think I've only done one three unit play all season).

2. Charlotte Bobcats +6.5 (-102), 1.53 to win 1.5 -- OKC has only covered this number in 2 of their 13 road games this year while CHA has covered a +6.5 line in 11 out of 12 home games... CHA always plays better at home and this is a great "buy low, sell high" opportunity for CHA backers. OKC might come in a bit pissed given that they lost their last game at home to PHX and CHA is on a B2B, but CHA has 5 straight days off following this game at home and I think they will give maximum effort tonight after their absolutely embarrassing performance against the Wizards last night. I find it hard to believe that OKC is gonna take CHA seriously with that in mind and might be looking ahead to tomorrow's game at NYK and the bright city lights. Unlike the DAL play, I'll be surprised if this ends up being a popular play but I like it in this spot.

I have heard a few people saying this the last few days and I am not sure if I understand the true meaning behind it....I think I have a good idea but I am not positive....please explain.

Well I can't speak for others who use the term, but I generally mean that you will want to avoid teams that are starting to really get noticed and becoming "known" to the public and back teams that appear to be unpopular plays and/or people have written off. Great example of "selling high" was fading the Patriots against Green Bay this weekend after they had been rolling teams and getting a lot of run in the sports public university. If you have the balls to back the Bobkitties tonight after that absolute goose egg they laid in Washington, then you are "buying low" on the Bobcats (i.e. buying them when no one else wants them.)

my discernment with this is that OKC is coming off a loss as well, and they are a better team. Bobcats off a B2B with no wallace playing like how they are playing right now... I'll roll the dice with OKC to handle the situation winning by 7+ BOL

fresh -- OKC is clearly a better team, but I can't ignore that they have only covered a hypothetical -6.5 line on the road 2 out of 13 times. I'll play the numbers with this one, and I wouldn't be shocked if there's some "home cooking" referee'ing tonight to keep this thing close.
