5-9-2010 NBA: Take Out A Loan, Scrape Out The Loose Change In Your Couch And Bet It ALL On Boston

Went 2-1 last night.  Damn, a 65-pt quarter by the Fakers in Utah!  Just when I thought they were gonna sleepwalk through this one after being up 2-0.  I've been waiting since the blowout Celtics loss for this game. 

Boston +1
Get it early, and grab the ML too for good measure.  No self-respecting team gets blown out in front of its home crowd and just lies down for the ass job next game.  Ain't no zigzag; just good ol' Celtic pride and payback for Game 3's humiliation.  I'm also thinking that this back-n-forth between the Cavs and Celts can't be good for the LeBrons' chances vs ORL in the Eastern Conf Finals.  Oh yes, you betcha Cleveland's gonna get there.  We've all just seen how 2 "roader" referees were sent to the UTA game (Dick Bavetta and Joey Crawford), and the result is an LAL victory even if they failed to score for 3:40 in the 4th.

By Game 2, all my hopes for a San Antonio series win were busted.  For the first time in 6 yrs of meeting in the postseason, the Spurs are overmatched vs the Suns.  And if that's the way it's gonna be, it means the PHX style of playing is going to prevail.  We all know what that looks like.

It's not up to LeBron.  It's up to David Stern. 

Thing is, the Celts think they deserve to at least be in the Eastern Conf Finals more than anyone, however ridiculous that sounds.  Again, no repeat ass jobs.  These Celtics aren't the Hawks.

i hate betting against a team that has the best player on the planet. Its no fun.

I do like Boston, but I'm having a hard time committing. Clevelands just way better, and boston knows it. They knew it 3 minutes into game 3.

Clearly you haven't paid much attention to the Celtics this year. The C's lost 5 home games by 11 points or more during the regular season, their SU record in their next game: 1-4. Eww.

I really cant put my money on a team who gets blown out at home rigth from ist quarter in the second round of the playoffs.

If the Celts were down 3-0 I might agree, but at 2-1 with Orl headed for a probable sweep there will be no let up in intensity & focus for 'Bron & the Cavs and that means more than HC in the playoffs with the Cavs being the better team. They may win, but can't roll with the C's in this one - GL though

Of course Stern wants a LeBron-Kobe showdown come June.  What I was saying is regardless of how LeBron does, if the Celts are motivated enough to redeem themselves tonight, there's nothing Mr. James can do to prevent a Cavs defeat.

And Honestly James will start off hotter than Boston AGAIN
