Boston +2.5 at home, against a good Bucks team! I think this is an ultimate slap in the face which just may be what Boston needs! If everyone is playing, I feel Boston wil win outright! They have won 50 games for goodness sake! Also looking at Chicago to win and clinch, looking at Phoenix/Utah game and OKC! Does anyone know if anyone on Boston is out? BOL GUYS! Oh Yea! I been riding Dallas the last few games and their overs, but liking Dallas to be playing playoff basketball, and ready to go deep in the playoffs! Just my Opinion! Dallas -7 ? later

PGram... i don't know specifics with any certainty... but this game is completely 100% meaningless to Boston, and i PROMISE you that Karnett, Allen and Pierce will not be in the game for more than a cameo appearance tonight...

Garnett and Pierce are both doubtful to play tonight. The Celtics being dogs has nothing to do with their confidence or anything. This line is similar to some late season NFL games where teams rest guys like I think Bills were favored to beat the Colts because they were sitting almost everyone. Boston has nothing to play for and other then pride, there isn't anything to play for. Good luck.

But the line should actually be higher.
From the Bucks perspective, if they win (and Miami loses) then MIL is matched up with Boston in the playoffs rather than vs Atlanta. They are 1-2 vs BOS and 1-2 vs ATL so far, so it's not clear to me if they had a choice, which team they'd rather face.
Now let's look at it from the Celtics perspective. This gets interesting. If the Celtics lose to the Bucks today (and Miami loses), then the Celtics will end up playing the Bucks in the playoffs. However, if the Celtics beat the Bucks, then they are assured of playing the Heat first round.
Bos is 3-0 vs Miami and 2-1 vs Milwaukee (not counting this 'meaningless' game)
If given a choice, would Boston rather play a Bucks team without BOGUT or play Miami? If they want to play Miami, they they should try their best to win this final game. If they want to play a Bogut-less Bucks team, they had better make sure they lose this game (and hope for a Heat loss).
So either we have a uncaring Celtics team resting their starters or we have a Celtics team that might BENEFIT from losing. In either case, I'd bet the Bucks today.
