130-117-4 YTD  +8.65 units overall
37-30 POD +138.4 units

Had a very profitable week but finish it off in the pooper on sunday going 0-2...

Monday's leans are:
Bull's -2.5 (don't know if I can handle another loss fading the Wiz again but the value is now their)
Buck's +1.5 & under 206.5
Pacers +9
Bobcats ?

I think the pacers are in the lead for a play right now

GL today odds...

Tough way to end (start? - depending on how you look at your calendar!) the week.

That MIN/OKC game was tough to watch for the totals bet. I'm learning that OKC keeps a TON of games close and that always favors the overs as there are foul situations and potential OT's that often push it over in the final few seconds. Been burned by that situation more than once by this Thunder team!

Let's get 'er today on a pretty weak Monday card.

although that game went over it had a great shot at stayiong under as they only combined for 16pts in the first 6 and half min of the 4th qtr it just got ugly at the end because Minny would'nt give up and that pushed it over also if you whould have ask me before the game if I thought they would have scored more than 50pts in each qtr I would have said no way. Had a feeling that strong trend would have caught up a little at some point just sucked it happened when i wagered on it not to...

After further review I will be playing the Mavs for sure tonight just trying to figure the amount and the other team i'm looking @ is the Bulls I have scratched the Bucks and the rest of the card right now looks junky

1st play is:

Dallas -9 for 40 units... We all know how bad Dallas has been this season @ 4-21ats @ home before the big trade. Well since that trade they are 3-1su and 2-2ats with wins over PHX, ORL & MIA going 1-1ats @ home with the new players in the lineup. I would compare this match-up tonight alot like the Suns who just came to town and lost by 10 as they score lots of points but play no defense. I do believe that Caron Butler and Brendan Haywood make the Mavs a better team and that will show from this point on IMO. The pacers are 4-10ats as a road dog of 5 -10.5pts in their last 14 games and with the new look from the Mavs tonight and the horrible defense that Indy has allowing 107ppg on the road this season I think the Mavs can take another step towards evening out that horrible ats record @ home this season with a DD pt victory tonight against the lowly Pacers. Very strong play tonight on the Mavs as they have new thoughts rising with the new players in town while the Pacers should have their minds on next season already...POD

  • Pacers are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 vs. NBA Southwest.
  • Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog of 5.0-10.5.
  • Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win.
  • Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win.
  • Pacers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest.
  • Pacers are 2-6-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings in Dallas.
  • Home team is 13-5-1 ATS in the last 19 meetings.

I willl not follow the rest of the world tonight just to hop on a train that left the station light years ago as I'm talking about the 6-20ats record they have this season @ home. There is not a new train at the station at least not yet but with the Match-up's tonight I don't see any reason just to take the Pacers tonight because of Dallas ATS home record unless you are seeing something different for taking them i just can't do it....

I almost forgot to mention that Dallas waxed Indy earlier this year in Indy by a score of 113-92. Thinking they have something on this team as they are 8-2su against them in tehir last 10 games in the series.

Nice. I like the Dallas pick. I think they put this one away early vs. an overmatched Indy team.

I know you work the ATS and statistical angle and it obv. works for ya. I, personally, like to look at the matchups and how teams historically do against similar "calibre" or "class" of teams. And/or looking at teams who play a similar style of game.

So we know that the Pacers can score and play an up-tempo style of game and aren't really interested in playing a lick of defense (giving up 104pts/game). In Dallas' last 10 games, who have they faced that plays a similar way and what were the results?

Home to Phoenix - result: Dallas won by 10.
@ Denver - result: Dallas got SMOKED!
@ GS - result: Dallas won by 10.
Home to Minny - result: Dallas lost by 9.
Home to GS - result: Dallas won by 9.

So what can we make of that? Well, none of the games were close.

So I suppose you could say that if you think Dallas will be "on" tonight and that their new cast of players (Butler, Haywood) have had sufficient time to gel, the large amount of chalk being laid should not be a concern.

GL to you tonight with your plays. Hope you make some units!

one thing iv'e learned over the years in capping NBA is if you can't except being a dumbass at times, than you will drive yourself crazy trying to find winners and leave yourself wondering WTF just happened AGAIN and AGAIN till your blue in the face. darn sacramento blew a 30+pt lead this year to the Kings and the garbage happens year in and year out. I might like a team for cerain reasons at glance and then after looking into it and could go the completely opposite direction for sometimes unexplained reasons. I know you were just busting my balls but just wanted to

I like to run my mouth a lot you should now

Here's a little write-up I did on the Bulls/Wiz game in another guy's thread who was asking for some help/suggestions...

Something that I've noticed the Bulls do well is that they typically beat the teams they are SUPPOSED to beat.

In their last ten, they're 6-4. Of those 4 losses, 1 came vs. Orlando (a better team), 1 @ Atlanta (a better team), 1 @ Philly in OT (pretty evenly matched)...the only loss that was a bit of a shocker in the last ten was vs. the Clippers on Feb 2. They couldn't hit the broadside of a barn (38% shooting) and turned the ball over 20 times as a team...so obviously just an off night. It can't be discounted, but at the same time every team has an "off night" every now and again.

In their 6 wins in the last 10 games played, they've beaten the teams they're supposed to beat. Home to Philly, @ Minny, the Knicks twice, @ Indy and home to Miami.

You could toss the Wiz into that Minny, Indy, NYK class of teams I suppose and one that the Bulls SHOULD beat.

So laying 2.5 isn't bad considering they've won their last 3 road games by 6, 6, and 8 against that "class" of opponent.

Again, just giving you some food for thought.

    Best of luck!
