Another winning GOM last night as the Rockets won SU with not much sweating involved.
Tonight in the NBA we have another very strong play in the NBA, when the public sweetheart Nuggets visit the Pistons. The Pistons are on the second half of a back-to back situation having played last night in Philadelphia. Although usually I will not play on a team in the second half of a back to back, there are certain situations where it does make sense because the odds makers build in more value to accommodate for B2B .
The Pistons, catching +7 points here, have beaten the Nuggets in the last 6 meetings out right regardless of the location (including the Nuggets going 1-7 ATS their last 8 games in Detroit) . The Pistons have won 8 of the last 10 meetings Straight Up since 2004. This is what I call one team dominating another. For one reason or another, even with the parity of prop sports, there is something about this match-up that the Nuggets can not solve. There is no way I can lay 7 points into these types of situations.
Lets add in that Denver is also at the end of a road trip and will be flying home after the game for an important Conference game against the Suns Saturday night in Denver.
Also notable is that of the Nuggets 16 wins, 14 have come against teams with under .500% SU records.
The Nuggets maybe without Kenyon Martin tonight who has a dislocated finger, if he does play his shooting and ball handling will suffer.
Take Detroit +7

It was exactly what we hoped for, Cleveland did not have the extra gear to go to last night against Houston. (The Cavs road trip had too many run and gun teams that had worn the Cavs out)
It is important to remember that the Cavs lost for that reason Being tired) and not because of poor play. By not confusing the two, we can more easily accept that a bounce back home game for the Cavs is in order and that they are not slumping.

I think YOU are one of the TOP Cappers here on Covers.com and definitely believe YOU are the most consistent with "Winners" on a weekly basis. Especially since you do not post a pick every day/nite just for the heck of it!
Thanks for your Picks, detailed Explanations and Expertise~

1 quik note... i dont think you can really factor in the last 2 games because carmelo anthony didnt play in both and this is really a good spot for chauncy to show detroit what they lost in him as a player. i wont play this game for the simple fact that you pointed out their struggles ATS with detroit. great analysis though. if i could ML this i would pick denver BOL

Professional sports are a flat out joke at times. There is absolutely no reason one should trust the Pistons, No Prince, Hamilton, and Gordan, yet it won't surprise me if they win. Sixers should absolutely give back their paychecks. Seriously, if you're the sixers and you can't break a 10 game losing streak at HOME against the Pistons with their 3 best players out and you're at full strength, you've got some serious issues. But nothing seems to amaze me any more these days, good luck.

The Pistons have been doing it all year without those guys in the line-up.
As I write this K Martin has been downgraded to OUT. When he sat the other night at Charlotte, Gerald Wallace dominated the paint (seeing it live was more impressive then the box score (25 points and 16 rebounds.) K Mart is undoubtedly the Nuggets best defender and will be missed tonight.
Also consider that the Nuggets are laying 7 points in Auburn Hills
despite losing the 14 games there SU The Nuggets haven't beaten the Pistons SU in Detroit since March 10, 1995. (Fun Fact: Bill Clinton was still President.)
Tough to lay 7 into....well, I was going to say "trend".... but its more like basketball history then a trend.

People, I know Billups is returning to Detroit (Again), you don't have to remind me of these things. Trust me I know. I know who is out for the Pistons too.
Billups returned to Detroit last year too and lost SU.

Thanks... I try to lay it out there...other just saying who my pick is...at least this way you can decide whether my thoughts have merit.
If I don't have a write-up (With solid reasoning) I just won't post. its a waste of evereyone's time to start a thread without a topic or to just post the names of your picks.

"The Pistons have won 8 of the last 10 meetings SU since 2004". Has the difference in talent between the two been as wide as it seems to be this year? (Det mediocre, Denver strong)

I know the talent levels. Please take your insight (like did you know Denver is good) to a square thread. Then you can discuss teasing down all the favorites and parlaying them with the pizza makers picks.
