Tough night yesterday. The Pistons came up a bucket short, and I took a shot on the Rockets at halftime catching an extra point. Will Bynum (god bless him) did everything he could to protect my investment. I thought he was gonna cover that spread by himself. If only the rest of the Pistons had his heart. Anyway, on to tonight.
I'm seeing several opportunities to make money tonight, so I'm going to get after it.
ATLANTA HAWKS -5.5 (line's not out, so I'm guessing here) 3 units - The Hawks are an absolute machine right now, and I'm riding that train till the wheels fall off. Even Pop knows they're not winning tonight. That's why he played Duncan last night, and is planning on resting him tonight. He could have saved Duncan for tonight, but he knew they would most likely lose anyway, so better to get that W last night. This is just one of those scheduling nightmares. The Spurs are a terrible b2b team & have to fly all the way cross-country to play the hottest home team in the NBA. No need to rattle off numbers here. I think we're all aware of the Hawks' home prowess by now.
BOSTON +3.5 2units/BOSTON ML +145 .5unit - Should be a great game. The Champs are getting healthy just in time to make their push. They've gotten that terrible stretch out, and look like they're back to form. I still remember earlier in the year, when the Magic were rolling and had a shot at these C's at home, but couldn't get it done. This is a huge game for both teams, and I trust the Celtics to get some revenge for that home loss, take the season series from the Magic, and all but lockdown that 2 seed.
UTAH +3.5 2units/UTAH ML +145 .5unit - As I pointed out the other day, the Suns haven't beaten teams with winning records all year. They got lucky the other night catching a Nuggets team that is struggling on the road lately. Utah's not a very good b2b team, but Boozer back really adds to their depth. They also had 3 days off to rest before this b2b, and another 2 days off before returning home to put the nail in Phoenix's coffin. I think the Jazz steal one here, and deal the Suns a dose of reality. No playoffs this year.
I probably won't play these, but I am also considering these two:
L.A. CLIPPERS +7 - The Knicks are just dreadful as favorites over 5 points, and against teams they theoretically should beat.
Milwaukee +3.5 - Milwaukee still has something to play for whereas the Raps are already on summer vacation.
I'll update the Atlanta line when it comes out. Any thoughts on these games would be really appreciated.
