It's been proven that I can not win consistently to make a profit in a long term. There were some stretches where I made some big money and I once believed I could do this for a living. I reduced my hours at work and started obsessing over sports gambling. At work, I would check the scores to see how my bets are doing and keep worrying about them. It made me neglect my work, family, relationships and I went through mood swings when my day didn't go well.
And another thing is that in the back of my mind, I always believed that gambling was a vice. No matter I well or bad I was doing, I was always embarrassed to tell anyone that I was gambling.
I lost several grands overall so far, and I'm going to cut my losses here. It's not worth stressing over, going through mood swings, and damaging my conscience to make some money doing this.
If anyone of you ever felt that gambling has caused you any problem at all, I urge you to do the same.
It's been fun while I was at it. I'll miss all the great moments and memories.
But the bottom line is that gambling is a vice and it will mess you up sooner or later in one way or the other.
I hope you realize this, too.
Take care, everyone.

I always bet one team because it keep me winner every one game that I bet only one team. Never bet more than 3 teams because it won't work and You should bet less than 10 points. I've been making over $80k in every 2 weeks. I'm not gamble person because I follow my system to pick only one team.
If you are gamble then you are not smart enough to making money for living.
I hate to see you go but Good Luck in your future!

seahawks, haha thats terrible man. It takes alot of self-control to walk away from something addictive such as gambling when you are down, good luck with whatever you choose to do.

Good decision BB...I've contemplated it many, many times over....and am hoping to pull the trigger any day now, just haven't been able to. I've made money on runs, lost alot more on spirals. I'm sure the guys in here who are joking that you should stay with it are the happiest guys when they have the green on the line, but when their bets go south, like they will, I"m sure they feel like me, you and the rest of the full on gamblers do....shitty, hopeless and pissed off...and ironically the only thing that takes those shit feelings away is to slam a little more down on the next one...good choice buds, a few thousand is better than losing everything.

Good luck man. I also stopped months ago when I found out my wife was pregnant. The first week was tough because I've been gambling for 12 years, but since then it's been relatively easy. I'll still do free contents for fun and fantasy sports which keeps me interested in the games, but avoids the big downer when losing. Gambling is OK for people who can do it in moderation, however, I was not one of them. Towards the end, I was laying $5000 a game and could not even stand to watch the games. Too much stress. Your making a change for the better so good luck.

goodluck, been gambling since 1980's started betting small now it's quite big. I can say have been to both spectrum of winning and losing. i am glad that i dont think abt it during my work hours and continue to have a normal family life. But still envy that you have conquered that damn vice bec in order to bet you have to spend time on research and reading different articles. still the payback is not worth it.
