Detroit -1


Opens at +1....80% on Spurs....moves to -1....home game....team trying to turn it up a notch over the second half....going against a team who is unstoppable when they score 100 but wont score 100 in this one

I used to be  ALL about line movement and traps.  I am not anymore.  However, on a night where there are only 2 bball games, do you really think the books dont know that all the squares are gonna be betting one these 2 national tv games.  So do you really think they'd allow a line to come out where they KNOW that so many ppl will jump to one side? 

Detroit wins tonight...plain and simple.  An average bet for me is 25 bucks (i only bet for drinking/weed/atlantic city money)


I am laying 1,100 to win 1,000 on Detroit.

Yeah, sure.  They let the squares romp with impunity last night with Cleveland -7.5, Denver -1, Dallas -8, Phoenix -8, and of course the Lakers -5, so why should we have any respect for their joke lines?   The Spurs and Celtics could both get the cash again tonight and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised.  Whoever's making these NBA lines this season needs to be relieved of his duties immediately (to put it gently).

The economy is in the toilet. You dont think that has anything to do with these joke lines? people need free money and Vegas has plenty.

I think many people looking at tonight's card at face value, are quick to jump on the spurs because they are just simply the better team.  Even more so, because Det is not playing well.  But as we all know, the better team does not always win. 

I like Det for several other reasons.
I'm not going to piss away cash money just because I want to pat myself on the back and say I faded the public and won.  There is no point to fading the public just to fade public, because the public does win. 

But I do believe in "traps" and you may fall for it, if you decide to side with the Spurs.  Spurs have been struggling on the road as of late, and not the same team without ginobli.  Also, spurs historically have trouble playing against a more physical side in Det and have been "intimidated" by Det before.
 
Watch Det comes out tonight with a chip on their shoulder, demanding respect, playing a physical, "no body comes into our house and..." type of game.  Don't have anything against the public but if picking the better team was a sure way of winning, we'd all be shittin*
