H.O.R.S.E (Kevin Durant + 162) - - - This one is a tough one cause we have never seen how this competition works and what specifically gives a player an advantage. Played H.O.R.S.E all my life and what I remember being the big aspect to winning was a shot. Although I do suspect these 3 guys to put on a show and kind of showoff their athleticism I do see shooting being a factor here. A lot of people on O.J Mayo but I don't think he will take it, either Johnson or Durant will take this and although both can shoot I will take Durant's athleticism over Johnson's. Should be interesting to watch, I like the addition of this at All-Star weekend.

3 POINT SHOOTOUT (J Killa + 125) - - - Going for the three peat I gotta go with Cool Cat Kapono. Although I have a dark horse in this competition below. Jason along with Ray Allen have the best muscle memory in the game. Muscle memory is a repetition and movement in a shot that is always the same. Jason although not an elite player can shoot with the best the game has ever seen, although he has struggled this season with inconsistency he loves the spot light and has had a few good games so he will come in confident ready to be the first 3 peat winner I think the competition has ever seen (I could be wrong.) Either way he is by far the most experianced in this competition by far and that will have an impact.

3 POINT SHOOTOUT (Daequan Cook + 1000) - - - Are you kidding me with the odds here? I understand he is the least known player on in the shootout but come on here. He was my darkhorse even before the odds came out and when I saw the +1000 I almost salivated. Cook has been a solid 3 point shooter this season but most of all he has the 2nd fastest release in the shootout (behind Kapono) He is the ultimate underdog and I suggest even a small play on Cook, even Bibby at +900 is a good option but he has a much slower release and is a better set shooter then a rhythm shooter. Granger and Lewis may surprise me or Mason may win it all but I think J Killa and D Cook have the best chances to win this shootout.

SLAM DUNK COMPETITON (Nate Robinson + 550) - - - Dunno why I think Nate will win it, especially since this is Superman's contest to loose. Sources say a Kriptonite dunk is gonna shock the world by Nate. I also think that this competition is more about putting on a show then dunking ability as truly it is very hard to be creative now. Out of J.R and Rudy I think Nate stands the only chance to take the crowd and judges out of Superman's hands and into his. This young man reminds us all of Spud Webb with his big heart, amazing leaping ability. He also has a outgoing personailty and don't be surprised if David beats Goliath.
Look out for the best dunk of the night to go to J.R and the best pass dunk (where a teammate passes to you) to go to Rudy. This should be another dunk cotest for the ages. If Rudy or J.R wins this, they will win it off sheer spectacular dunks which will be very hard to do. Easy pick is Dwight, the gamble is Nate and I wouldn't suggest Rudy or J.R, but if they do win it should be a hell of a dunk contest.

ALL STAR GAME (EAST + 4.5 - 110) - - - Why the East are dogs by almost 5 I am not really sure. They dominated most of the game last year. This year they will not only have KG (who sat out last year) They will also have A.I back in the East. Lebron would be my pick for MVP but watch out for Kobe who didn't get to play much last year (due to injury) and Shaw the hometown favorite. I actually suspect another close game. This might be a totally different all-star game, usually they wait until the 4th to start really playing but this game may be more competitive then previous years. East holds a dominating winning % against the West in all star games and I suspect that to continue tonight.

RAPS/HEAT TRADE
Jermaine Oneal, Jamario Moon, Conditional 1st Rounder FOR
Shawn Marion, Marcus Banks, Cash Money
(At first glance I though these may be a bit of a fleecing for Pat Riley. However you guys don't realize what cash considerations there were. First off the 1st rounder is conditional on lottery status so if Raps miss the playoffs no pick for Miami. The cash was substantial, I beleive the $500,000 range which is a nice chunk of change. This is the first trade in the NBA in the past 2 years that I think really helps out both teams. First off for all those people who say Jamario Moon is similar to Shawn Marion is on crack. I understand where you guys come from because of their similar styles but in no way are these guys even close. Marion who has the ugliest looking jumpshot in the NBA is 10 times the better shooter then Marion, he is also, smarter, a better defender, better fast break finisher. With that being said I didn't think Moon should have been in this deal but I really wanted him out of Toronto so I don't much care. Marcus Banks is worth nothing to me. With the emergance of Roko I think Banks should only be used if Calderon goes down. But if Jose and Roko are healthy no time for Marcus. I hope Raps have a shorter rotation now. I like Jose, Parker, Marion, Bosh and Bargnani playing a majority of the minutes with Kapono, Graham and Roko getting bench time along with a few minutes from Jake or Hump. Marion is on an expiring contract and he wants money in the off season. Therefore, he will shine in a raps uniform the 2nd half of the season so he can get a big multi-year deal. As for Miami, this is big. They get a low post presence which they desperatly needed and Moon who may be rejuvinated to play like he did his rookie year with the Raps now that he is in South Beach. Jermaine will bring that already rampant swagger to MIA a playoff team. Although Raps get softer I think the expiring contract is a huge factor here and Marion, Bosh and Bargnani will lead the Raps to the 8th spot in the playoffs.)
