Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers expects Mauldin native Kevin Garnett to
play against the Los Angeles Lakers after missing two games because of
the flu.
Rivers said Garnett felt strong during a shoot-around this morning,
but "when you’re running up and down the floor when you haven’t done
it, that’s a different story."
Ray Allen, who hit the
game-winning 3-pointer in Philadelphia on Tuesday, also has been
weakened with flu-like symptoms. He also is expected to play.
The Celtics have given antibiotics to other players in the hope of warding off further sickness.
Boston,
which has won 12 games in a row, plays the Lakers tonight at TD
Banknorth Garden for the first time since winning the NBA championship
last season.

its is very likely that KG isnt the only one on the celtics thats on with the flu, i mean theese guys touch each other and stay alot together and it would be normal if rest of the team also got the flu
i was just thinking about this earlier today, as its in the middle of flu season and alot of people get it just for going to the mall..
antibiotics have any side effects?

You really need to stop over analyzing things...
There might even be a chance that they don't tell you the whole truth.. maybe Garnett was not really sick at all? Ever hear of cover up stories? Im out

I heard KG and Ray Allen were playing Xbox 360 today and Allen was the Lakers and KG was the Celts- The score was tied at 94 with 2 minutes left and Pierce(who was watching) tripped over the plug and the game ended right there.
Anyway, Pierce hurt his ankle and is questionable and KG and Allen are both pissed at Pierce. I see a downward spiral for the C's.
Take the Lakers. i see a 94-94 final

that acela angle is interesting but since the lakers are coming from toronto i thought i'd check that out. it seems that this situation is only the 4th time a team has won in toronto, has boston with cleveland next. the boston is 1-2 ats, 2-1 su and the over is 2-1. the sample is too small to run with. interesting yet irrelevant.
