Nice Friday slate, some great games. A nice huge slate, just what Mak likes. Gonna keep bets flat and even today, sorry no P.O.D folks, feel confident and hope a majority of these picks hit. Good luck fellas.
CLEVELAND CAVALIERS - 10.5 - - - The season this line is not at 14 or 15 is due to the fact that IND played the Cavs strong at the start of the season in CLE. That was before the Cavs realized what a powerhouse they are. They were just getting into the groove of things and only beat IND by a few points. This is a different Cavs team then it was 10 games ago, mentality is way different and after a team demolishes roster after roster their swagger and confidence grows and the King and his men are all ready. No one on the corner has swagger like them :) The Cavs continue their flawless record at home with an easy dd win over IND.
4.4 UNITS - - -
PHILADELPHIA 76ERS + 9.5 - - - The 76ers are better then their record by far. They will still make a run for that 4th spot in the east and in my opinion it's theirs to loose right now. They have not been playing to their potential. The Pistons are also struggling to find that identity without Billups. No stats or trends to back this pick up, I just do not see a double digit win by Detroit. I see a defensive game that allows Philly to stay in it all game long.
4.4 UNITS - - -
BOSTON CELTICS - 7.0 - - - Portland's 6 game winning streak will put to an end. However they will keep it closer then most can at the Garden. I love the Trail Blazers, think they are the sleeper in the West to watch out for, but if you recall the Celtics had an amazing record against western conference teams last year, their defensive style seems to cause a lot of run and gun western teams to fold, I don't suspect it will be easy but I do suspect yet another cover for the Celts. The last 6 games at home Boston has ATS covered 5 of them. At 11-1 at home the Celts will be primed and ready to make the young blazers remember they are in the Champs building.
4.4 UNITS - - -
LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS + 1 - - - I think you all have to stop hating on the Clipps, granted you are right, they came out of the gates sloppy and didn't realize that they just cost themselves any chance of making a run for the playoffs. Nevertheless I keeo on telling you guys not to sleep on their roster. Their starting 5 can contend with some of the best in the league, when Kaman comes back their bench will be quite strong. The Clipps have won the last 4 ATS and 6 of the last 8. They have been able to beat mediocre teams and I think this Memphis game is one the Clipps have to win. Zach, Baron and Marcus will contribute as always, watch for youngsters like Thornton and Gordon to be the keys to the game.

LOS ANGELES LAKERS - 11.0 - - - The Wiz have come up with some bad efforts this year. They seem to get blown out by good teams quite easily. The Lakeshow seem to excel against teams that do not have a PG to penetrate their defense...well Wiz have no one. Dee Brown and Daniels will not be enough and neither will Caron Butler or Antawn. This Wiz team will suffer a blowout loss in your nations capital.
4.4 UNITS - - -
MILWAUKEE BUCKS - 4.0 - - - According to wagerline records Bucks seem to be the team I can call the most, my best record belongs to the Bucks. I myself can't remember one time I have backed them :0, nevertheless this is a game that I think they will have at home. They beat the Cats recently in a very low scoring sloppy game. They shot 33% and still beat em. Granted it was without J Rich but I don't think he can make that much of a difference tonight. At full strength for the first time in a very long time, I suspect the Bucks and their new coach will start a little winning streak at home, when healthy this Bucks team plays very well at home.

TORONTO RAPTORS ATS - - - No matter what the spread I am gonna back the Raps. Despite the fact I don't remember the Jazz loosing 2 straight at home...well...ever. Must have been at least 3-4 years ago. So this will be a tough one for the Raps but I think they will have some motivation....something happened didn't it?? OH YEAH! The coach was fired. Toronto has been buzzing about this news, it was a shock to a lot of fans. Bitter, sweet in my opinion. I liked Sam, got to meet him one, funny guy, entertaining, nice...but to be honest I always had my doubts about his in game decisions. Have watched raps coverage over the last few days, I assure you things will change. Jay Triano will be the first Canadian head coach in the NBA, he is changing defensive sets and pushing the Raps to run run run. Ride over totals for Toronto for a while, although the roster is now questionable in my opinion I still believe in the pride of this roster and after their 5th worst loss in franchise history they will come with a better effort in Salt Lake City.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS + 10 - - - Most unpredictable team in the NBA, late betting on them or against them, they can always surprise you. I see a 6-9 point Rocket win, GS should have Corey and Azubukie in the lineup. Hopefully they keep it close.

OKLAHOMA SHITTY + 14 - - - Only my second bet of the season on the Shitty. Sorry no trends, stats or real ideas to back this pick up, just a gut feel. Shitty keep it closer then 14.

Well gents, yes to all those who say I play too many games I know I know, I just think I have better odds TODAY at playing the slate and hoping for a majority to hit, rather then playing 1 or 2 picks as I really don't see a play of the day here. Good luck tonight guys. Peace out - - - MAK
