I've been to Vegas a couple times with some friends and its always a blast but I've been wanting to go back ever since I left last summer. Problem is all my friends are currently in money issues being in college and all. I have a 4 day period where I'm off and am debating going by myself. Is it still fun? What's the experience like?

I'm all in , have made the solo journey on several occasions. It's all good , for the most part people are friendly and eay to talk to and meet, really easy to move about solo as well and, needless to say you go where you want  to  to go when  you want to go, out going types generally fare better , go for it , "live life"

I recommend doing it as well. I have been to Vegas twice. The first time I went with my brother...the second time I went solo to play in a WSOP even last year. I was there 4 nights and had a lot of fun but I pretty much only played poker and sports bet. One night I met a 38 year old farmer from Minnesota, a 30 year old lawyer from Los Angeles and then me...we ended up partying all night with the lawyers girlfriend who happened to be a cocktail waitress at Luxor. Had a blast. It can get a little lonely I guess but like I said, I spent most of my time at the poker tables. It's definitely an interesting experience. If you are legitimately trying to make some money and focus a bit then I'd say solo is the best way to do that!

It matters what you want to do.  When I go out with my friends, I usually stay an extra 3 or 4 days just by myself and go into "Poker" mode where I play Poker 16 hours a day, Poker tournaments, cash games, etc.

If you are not a gambler, being in Vegas by yourself can actually get pretty boring.

Vegas is great by yourself, but it does depend on the type of person you are and what you like to do.  Most restaurants cater to individuals, as there are quite a few single travelers out there for conventions/conferences/tradeshows, etc.  Depending on how social you are or what you want to do, there are always people to meet at the various casino bars and such. You can generally always make some friends in the sportsbooks, as well.

The only general suggestion I'd have is to watch the booze intake (if that applies to you).  Easy to have too many in LV and being by yourself can potentially lead to more issues than if you'd have 2-3 people with you.

Thanks for all the positive feedback. I think I'm going to go through with it and just enjoy it. I love to gamble especially craps and blackjack so I can always start some convos there. Plus, I want to people watch at some pools. I heard tao at the venetian is cool. Probably going to have crab legs every night at the buffets

Been to Vegas on my own 4-5 times for March Madness. You can do what you want ,when you want.  I play poker, blackjack, and sports bet.

You always find people to talk with especially during March Madness.

When you go out to eat, sit at the bar. Usually bartende/waiter takes good care of you and usually get food faster.

Definitely Recommend

Do you want to sit around and talk to degenerates like it was a forum at Covers.com? Eat what you want, bet what you want, and after midnight where ever you are it gets a little crazier. By all means though, always protect the bankroll.

Ive been to Vegas 3 times, all times with a group of friends, had an amazing time.

But at a casino, i find myself stuck at poker tables for hours on end, so i usually end up alone a lot of times, and i would pull all nighters while my friends would be sleeping.  It ended up only hanging out with my friends at the beginning of the night, or everytime we ate, or sometimes early morning craps sessions

Im going to Vegas again in a month, this time, im heading up there ALONE.  All my boys were invited but theyre busy or broke, so instead of rescheduling my vacation im still going, and gonna LOVE IT

Have enjoyed my solo trips to Vegas. It caters to all personality types really. The best part is that you do whatever it is you want. Never a dull moment in that city, by design of course. Even better when you're winning. GL
