#2 Posted: 2/27/2013 1:01:24 PM Group of 8 damn. What time you plan on getting up to lock down seats? My group used to do MGM a few years back and we'd have to have someone down there by 3:30-4am, brutal.

#3 Posted: 2/28/2013 7:50:55 PM This is why I don't go to Vegas anymore during March Madness. It is full of groups of guys aged 21-25. A big testosterone filled sausage fest. Sportsbooks are packed to the point where if you want to place a 2nd half bet you have to start waiting in line before the half ends if you want to get to the counter before the 2nd half starts. The best place to watch the games is in your hotel room, unless you like standing room only looking over some meathead's shoulders.

#4 Posted: 3/1/2013 10:01:36 AM I don't worry about either of those problems it is 4 couples aged 32-38 we have a private area roped off for us thru the group we go with out of Atlanta and it sure helps 2 b diamond members during march madness!!! We have went the past 5 years during the sweet 16 weekend but with it falling on easter this year we decided to give the open round a try!!!! And the final 4 is n Atlanta this year!!! |

#7 Posted: 3/6/2013 3:22:18 PM I arrived in town this past weekend and will be staying for the entire month. I came strictly to bet the NCAA Tournament. I drove to Goodyear Arizona on tuesday to take in a few games at the Indians and Reds training facility. I will be back in Vegas over the weekend and and looking forward to the conference tourneys next week. I have tickets to the sessions at the Orleans.
I like to watch the games at the LVH and the Orleans. I have been to both for March Madness and it is a good basketball atmosphere. I prefer off strip because it is less crowded.
Hope everyone fares well this March.

Good luck man. Any chance of starting your own thread to keep us updated on your month out there? I'm sure there are several of us that would be interested in hearing how it's going.

#12 Posted: 3/29/2013 12:02:39 PM Just got back from Vegas a couple days ago(25th-27th). Stayed at Caesars and had a great time. However, if you rent a car, try to stay in the Roman tower(much closer to the parking garage) compared to the Augustus tower(where we stayed). Kind if a long walk if you use your car and have to hike from the room to the parking garage(two opposite ends of the property. Otherwise a great place to stay! |
