It's a guys trip, and we are all basically married/engaged, so not trying to bring back chicks to the room. Heard they were renovating the rooms (I think, or was that the Trop?)

Booking through Southwest and it's by far the cheapest place on the strip for the weekend we are looking at.

So how dirty is it?

Not sure about the IP...but I stayed at the Paris for 4 nights (which was pretty pricey) but the last day our flight left at midnight and we wanted a cheap room to rest in for the day and leave our luggage after we checked out of Paris....so we went over to Bally's and for a 1 night rate it was only $40...and honestly the place wasn't bad. I mean, it was as basic as can be but if you just want a place to throw your garbage and sleep/shower then Bally's seemed like a decant spot. Plus it is pretty centrally located on the Strip. 

I haven't heard the best of things about the IP

yeah the IP is a dump for sure, but it's a guys trip where nobody is really even trying to get laid, so it will jsut be for showering/maybe shitting/ and drunken sleep, lol

I will report back on how shitty it really is. I like adventures, lol

Stayed there 3 times

Only used it for sleeping and showering, does the job for the price and location

It is a dump, but for the price, can't complain

yeah, I was stationed in Yuma, AZ when I was in the Marines, lol. Hot as darn, used to drive up to Vegas every few months.  This will be my 1st time ever flying in

I don't get it.  If you are going to Vegas for a fun trip (which I do a quite frequently), why would you stay in a cheap dump.  Spend a little more and really enjoy the trip.  If you can't afford it, you should just as well stay home and wait till your personal economy turns around.  Vegas, no longer, is for food stamp crowd.

I can afford more, but I would rather have more cash leftover for gambling/partying. The only thing the room is used for is sleep/shower, I am not bringing my girl there.... When it's 4 in the morning (or later) and pretty intoxicated, your body doesn't really know the difference between the Wynn and the IP....

Disregard the haters man...I got dogged on too in one of my threads simply because I like to save money? 

It will be a kickass time...its all about who you are with, not where you are at.

2nd vegas trip ever (in 08) we stayed at friggin Binions, and we still had a blast, lol.

I think the rooms were literally like 19 bux, even on fri and sat night, lol

I take back what I said.  As he said, he is all about gambling while being intoxicated and wasted until the wee hours of the morning.  Vegas was made for this kind of self indulgence.  He will probably be so drunk 24/7, there is no way he will be able to hold his own in 21, dice, or whatever game he chooses.  My bet, after a few hours, he will only be able to afford a dump to sleep it off.

Just an FYI for you, there are more reports of bed bugs at Caesars, Bellagio and the Venetian than like any other place on the strip.....
