I just booked a trip for June 12th thru 15th for the start of the NBA finals. As far as I know only Harrah's properties offer comps at their sportsbooks on the strip. I've tried at MGM and Lucky's books and have gotten the stink eye each time when I present my players card. Btw, does anyone have a rough idea how much one has to win/lose in order to get comped strictly off their sports play at Harrahs? Thx in advance

lol. Wouldent even worry about it untill they start mailing free room offers to your home. You need to drop a couple grand on gambling every visit and if you win they will send more offers for free air fare/ rooms/ comps.

I ask because over Super Bowl weekend I played some high denomination slots with my winnings for a short period and immediately had offers on my Mlife homepage for the casinos I played at. I looked at my tax statement and I wasn't spending a fortune, so I was wondering if you had to gamble an exponential amount at the book to get recognized.

My experience in the last few years...Using a specialized sports book card at another major place,  a little over $15000 in sports bet yielded me a $30 food comp, but the manager rounded it up to $40.  He told me a $500 bet equaled a $1 comp.  With my date, 4 glasses of wine used up about $28 of the comp and I had to reach into my wallet to pay the rest of the bill.  Clearly, they don't comp sports bettors, so I threw the card away.
