you should read and pin point why certain teams would cover or win when it seems like theyre not suppose to....studying makes a big difference

That same lady in the middle may be missing tomorrow as well.  Also, Currie being back, no matter what capacity is a plus for Washington.  The nice thing about Washington is they always rebound, and that alone gives them a chance to cover spreads like this.  Atlanta covers spreads like this when they force teams into 20 turnovers.  13 last night from Washington gave them a shot.

Atlanta is NOT THAT GOOD when forced into a half-court game. 

Washington just put up 85pts with Thomas, Gardin & Walker going 7-28 combined.  The main scorer being Thomas.  Think they have a great shot to cover right back tomorrow at an inflated number of +11

Couldnt agree with u more.  People need to do some research and then pick the game.  Atlanta is the worst 3point shooting team and is iffy at the free throw line also.  These 2 factors make it difficult to cover.  WASHINGTON LARGE TOMORROW+11 in washinton.

Very very interesting. You do realize that if given an extra day to recover, de Souza just might show up? This team has a history of Paul Pierce-like comebacks. She just might play in a 'lauren jackson' role, and that could be enough to turn the game around completely.

If she's out, I'll take Washington with a ML sprinkle on top.

Her presence would definitely help, but defensively I don't think she'd stop Langhorne either way.  It would clog the middle for Atlanta offensively, and force more jump shots IMO.  It could go either way...but sometimes the return of a star (Currie) gets a team on a nice run.  She may only chip in 8-10pts but a few years back she was very good defensively. 

I just wouldn't feel comfortably laying a DD spread right now with Atlanta.  They go as McCoughtrey goes.  They just got a PERFECT game from her.  30pts on near 50% shooting (Very rare for her)

I myself will likely drop this in a parlay and buy it up to -200 which should get +14 or +15

You would get 10 identical replies to this post. Specifically, the part where team gets on a run after a star comes back.

I know half a dozen handicappers head and shoulders above myself who use exactly the opposite angle. They back a team during the first game when a star is OUT. They fade this same team the first game this star makes a come back.

Lauren Jackson's first game back immediately comes to mind

And I'm not so sure about paying twice the price for extra 4-5 points. I'd rather put a little on the posted spread, and sprinkle on moneyline just in case Atlanta is out of sorts, which they can be if Langhorne is in beast mode again, forcing them to play half court offense and chuck up Js they are horrible at.

I get scathing remarks all the time.  Nothing new really. Haha.  I will have some on the +11, but I always play a parlay each day/night and buy up if I can.

However, single play I will have Mystics +11

I think if both stars go into "Beast Mode" as you said it favors the Mystics.  Washington actually has the more talented scorers if you take Langhorne & Angel away from their respective teams.

Doesnt matter if Dsouza plays....Atlanta not beating Washinton by 11.  If you watched any of the previous games it clearly shows.  The most Atlanta has won by is i think 6/7 points.

I wouldn't go that far, anything can happen in the funky WNBA.  However, if it plays anywhere near like it does on paper...this line is too high.  If Langhorne has another 25pt game they will threaten with another straight up win.  If she struggles, backers better hope Ajavon, Coleman & Thomas pick it up.  Neither team shoot's the 3-ball well, both rely on a few key players and both rebound well.  They are very evenly matched on paper.  I don't think HC is worth a 6pts swing in the line from the last game though...especially with the injury question.

Thats the one thing with this league,Atl.very well could come back and win by 20,and with this spread Vegas must thing its going to happen,but saying that I will put some money on Wash.getting 11 because I think its a good bet.
Thats really what it comes down to,is it worth a play,which out of all the games tonight this will be the only play I make.

Right. Who knows, washington COULD end up playing all their Duke rookies extended minutes in the second half, getting blown out on purpose. Remember that +11 isn't exactly +22 (which is what great britain got against the allmighty Spain at Eurobasket today)

Like we thought though, if Langhorne didn't have a good game they didn't stand a chance.  Then you throw in the fact Bales & Price threw in a ridiculous 14-18 from the field and you now know why WNBA is a pain in the ass to cap.
