#2 Posted: 2/7/2012 12:58:46 PM I like all of the leans besides maybe Markes. Not sure on that one.
I think ellenberger is being over-valued though. I am no Diego fan, and this isn't a great matchup for him. But he is a tough out. He has great pace, cardio, and toughness. That in itself is tough to bet against at that high of a number.
Ellenberger really isn't a world class wrestler. He is a division 2 standout and a very solid wrestler. He has power in his hands, but his boxing isn't that polished yet.
I think he is a hell of a prospect, but he hasn't been tested yet. The win over Shields is all nice and all. But Shields just lost his father and it was a terrible matchup. Shields has the striking of a 12 year old boy, so him getting KO'd wasn't anything too special. Other than that he has beat....Sean Pierson, Rocha (by split), John Howard, Mike Pyle, and I guess he very well could of won vs Condit.
But he hasn't really fought a decent wrestler with any standing ability yet. I think he wins, but that line looks pretty inflated too me.
Tough Card to cap. I think these are all pretty close fights. Menjivar is probably the biggest lock.

#3 Posted: 2/7/2012 1:00:25 PM what took you so long to get this out?!
i really like ellenberger
really like struve
i think simpson is on a good roll, and the experience factor may be huge vs another wrestler. initial thought
i also really like brookins. he had a bad fight against a really good opponent last fight. i also read he was partyin a lot, and has refocused |

#4 Posted: 2/8/2012 11:27:01 PM I don't know what to think of Ellenberger vs. Sanchez. At this point in their careers Ellenberger should be able to do what ever the heck he wants with Sanchez but I have this weird feeling Sanchez is going to be in the fight...Sanchez is very tough and who knows. Not going to lay the juice on Ellenberger though

#5 Posted: 2/9/2012 2:00:31 AM Yeah that's kinda where I'm at frank. I already cancelled my bet on Diego thinking it was a 5-rounder, but because of Diego's pace and determination I don't plan to bet on Ellenberger. Maybe just wait til the weigh-ins to see what kind of shape Diego's in before considering it?

#11 Posted: 2/13/2012 11:38:23 AM the more I think about the Sanchez/Ellenberger fight the more I want to put a little on Sanchez. I think if Sanchez can avoid getting smashed in the 1st round he can win with his cardio. I'm interested to see what the over/under 2.5 line is after they weighin. If its favored to go to decision then I'm almost positive I will be playing Sanchez

#12 Posted: 2/13/2012 11:55:51 AM I don't see any value in Ellenberger at all. I think he wins. But that line is crazy. Sanchez could win or at the least steal 2 rounds and win a decision.
Then again, a nice Ellenberger right hand can change that quickly.
