#1 Posted: 12/10/2011 3:08:53 PM 2nd round KO by Jones. Machida doesn't stand a chance, his style is for counter punching guys with normal reaches. He should get picked apart if he stays on his feet tonight.
Jones -500 |

#2 Posted: 12/10/2011 3:12:11 PM Machida defied expectations at UFC 94,[46][50] where he earned a "Knockout of the Night" honor for his first-round stoppage of then undefeated Thiago Silva. |

#5 Posted: 12/10/2011 6:15:06 PM Jones still hasn't been tested. He toyed with Shogun, who Machida had his troubles with. Jones is so far up the ladder than Machida and everyone else, its ridiculous. And given Jones' discipline and intelligence in the ring at this point of his career, Machida doesn't even have that 'fighters chance.' He's the real deal, he'll be well prepared for Lyoto.

#7 Posted: 12/10/2011 7:10:43 PM Bones will run the 205 div like Anderson runs the 185 div.. he'll get tested down the road but cant see him losing anytime soon.. Machida is a tough guy with good striking and a good ground game but still think Bones finds his chin and puts him to sleep or a ref stoppage...
my Play of the night is Lil' Nog..
taking him ML and "inside the distance".. |

#9 Posted: 12/10/2011 7:34:26 PM haha, i actually don't think this was the fight they originally wanted to schedule, but Machida was being such a little girl...they wanted him to fight Rashad in a contendere's match, but they refused, saying they wanted to wait for a title shot...I think he's looked like behind the last three fights, with the only win coming against an ancient cotoure... |

#12 Posted: 12/10/2011 10:01:24 PM Jones has potential to be one of the best ever, but if anyone is gonna stop him by any kind of upset I think Machida has the best shot to do it. I think it's gonne be alot closer then people think.

How is this idea different than laying -500 on Jones??
First you're laying the 5/1, then you have to win other fights, so OBVIOUSLY you end up with a better payout, but you still need Jones to win @ 1 2 5.

#22 Posted: 12/14/2011 12:06:56 AM becuase Jones was a lock...it's way for someone to get action on Jones if they just want action on one of their fave fighters and it's a way to take advantage of a fight you think is a lock. For instance, the top handicapper on this site, MR219 parlayed Mir and Jones for 10 Units... |

#23 Posted: 12/15/2011 2:26:11 PM I agree MR knows his MMA, but that doesn't detract from what I said. Parlaying a bet that you would not make straight is no smarter than making the bet straight. That is pure math and money management, not mma knowledge or handicapping.
Plus your point really isn't logical either.......if you think JJ wins this fight more than 5/6 or 83%, then betting him -500 is a solid play over the long term. Nothing wrong with that play.
It just isn't long term positive EV to parlay bets that you would not make straight.

#25 Posted: 12/15/2011 11:32:35 PM btw, here's another illogical bet for you, haha, as I would not bet any of these as a straight bet:
Jacksonville JaguarsVSAtlanta Falcons Money Line
(Game) Atlanta Falcons -610 (Win)
Green Bay PackersVSKansas City Chiefs Money Line (Game) Green Bay Packers -720 (Up to -910)
New England PatriotsVSDenver Broncos Money Line (Game) New England Patriots -280 (Up to -335)
Ticket Number 154102849 accepted
Total Risk : 751.60 Total Potential Win : 600.54 |
