I wont bet against GSP because im a big fan but i have a hard time betting on him at -266, i dont see value there.   I will though be  betting on Mir, im going to wait on that though and try to get a better price later.

I don't like any of the prices for the favorites, although I see at least 3 out of 4 of those winning (GSP, Hendo, Jones). Mir and Lesnar is a tossup really. I wish my book would let me parlay that way I can stick GSP and Hendo together and probably get somewhat close to even action.

I locked in Mir back in April
 
I am looking(Hoping) for Mir to knock that fool out. Now that probably won't happen, so I see a sub loss in Lesner's future.
 
I just can't stand that guy, he has ZERO talent other than just being physically large.

I like all of the dogs except O'brien....Jon Jones is a beast...
 
Bisping has a shot aganist Hendo too..a real good shot...Hendo hasn't adjusted to the UFC too well...which ever way is goes, should be a REAL entertaining fight...don't see a submission by either one

I DO NOT like Bisping at all, but I completely agree with everything that you have said.
 
I really hate having to bet on him, but the value is definitely there.

I'm loving mir at these prices. Probably going to do a Parlay of Mir/GSP/Henderson just to get his odds to bump up GSP and Henderson

Gonna post a detailed write-up before the event, but so far my early leans are:
 
Mir - For the price you just can't go wrong.  Also keep in mind Lesnar couldn't finish Herring and ended up rolling around for a LONG time with him. I think with 5 rounds and any significant time on the ground, Mir can catch a submission. 
 
Henderson - Bisping has had trouble in the past with fighters who rush in like Henderson who also have strong takedowns.  I honestly think he lost the fight to Hamill also and Henderson has all the strengths Hamill did.
 
Jones - Man at this price, I'd go with the underdog but I think Jones just outclasses him all night. O'Brien's strength is wrestling and he has average standup. I think Jone's wrestling is actually better, he has better standup (and a big 8" reach advantage), and is much more explosive. There's no value in betting Jones here though except probably a parlay. Something like Jones + Mayweather + Anderson Silva
 
GSP - In their fight an over the hill Matt Hughes who took the fight on short notice was able to hold Alves down for a long stretch in the 1st round. I think GSP uses the same strategy except will finish Alves off with his strong G&P.

Size is what makes many athletes what they are. Would Shaq be awesome if he were 6'6" 250? Probably not. But he'd be quicker, so if Lesnar were smaller, he'd likely have other attributes. Plus he IS very athletic for his size. Despite the fact that it is scripted, pro wrestling requires an inordinate amount of strength and coordination. There are a lot of haters because of the wrestling and early title shot, but Lesnar has skills and is improving with every fight.

Mir is the only one i like at his odds. I dont like jones, hendo, gsp at those heavily favored odds.

So winning the NCAA title with only one loss in his last 2 years isn't talent???   Almost making an NFL team after not playing football for 8 years is not talent??? Working hard and totally dominating every single oppoent in the MMA ring is not talent?????????

That is talent for being physically large, Yes, but as far as MMA goes he has ZERO Talent.
 
The only reason why he was almost considered to play in the NFL was because of his size.
 
Let's look at who he Dominated in his 4 fights.
 
Let's see, he was hand fed a 2-5 fighter for his MMA debut
 
Frank Mir beat him in a minute and a half
 
Remember when he knocked Heath Herring to the mat and then had no clue what to do with him for 3 rounds?
 
He beat a 45 year old Randy Couture who should have been retired already.

I agree with you on most of what you said.  But i have to disagree on the zero talent comment, this guy is pretty agile for a big man, and he is a superb wrestler which translates well to MMA.  His sheer size, which isnt talent but god given, is pretty overwhelming for opponents.

I got to take my chances too with Mir simply because Mir is getting over +200 odds when in my opinion he should be at most +130.   Mir, who was labelled a bit lazy in his training supposedly (i dont know where i read that though but it was a couple years ago), he was losing to weaker opponents,  but anyway, there is no way he takes lesnar lightly, u know he will do everything he can in his power to win....

I guess I really need to rephrase my no talent comment. I am still pissed that Brock just decided that he wanted to be an MMA fighter and then all of a sudden he gets to just jump right into the UFC with very limited skills and had yet to prove himself.
 
Yes, he does have great wrestling skills and Decent Movement for a Big Man, but he needs alot of work. What I don't understand is how so many people think that he is so dominant with being very limited in skill.
 
The Only way that I see Brock Winning is if he comes out Balls to the Wall and pummels Frank and gets a Ref Stoppage.
 
I guess I really don't hate the guy, only the way that he was brought in, just because he a was a name. I am sure that he will get better, but I think he shoud have fought a few lesser oponents before this remetch with Mir, because Mir looks like he is in prime form right now.

And Mir will get destroyed, he will not be able to weasel out a ankle lock this time around and will probably only be able to take one of the thunderstick punches from Brock and he is sleeping.

i love danzig but he needs to go to wec and wove down to 145.... did u see his fight with guida?  he couldnt defend the takedown....  i think miller will overpower him
