Yeah I like Shogun in this one as well. I thought this line would be much closer to pick em but oh well I will gladly take the +150

he has looked like junk

Have you seen Chuck Liddell the last few years? He is on his last legs and on his way out of the UFC. I think Liddell is very one dimensional and Rua will just outclass him once it goes to the ground.

rua could barely take coleman to the ground and liddell has a great sprawl.....i see liddell 2nd round KO in this one

I am gonna lay off this one straight up but will probably parlay Rau, just because lidell is too one dimensional and just sits on that one punch, if he doesnt land that punch Rua will win a decision.  I also dont expect Rua to gas as fast (not if he wants to stay around the UFC for a while.)

Liddell has been brutally KOd a few times now. I dont know how you would lay odds with him. Im going to take Rua just for the hell of it. If I lose, so what I thinks its a good play

Just based on odds I would have to take Rua. I think this fight is a lot closer than Liddell -205 / Rua +165.

The more i look into this fight the more i like Rua.  Was reading a good article on sherdog about his training he really seems to be ready for this fight not like the coleman fight were he gassed himself.

Ok I see you like Liddell, but you have not said why you like him so much though.

I just think at +150 I am getting a fighter who is in his prime and is finally healthy going against an aging fighter who is in the twilight of his career and has already showed signs of aging and slowing down. I hate to say it, but Liddell may start to just show up for the paycheck involved.  I really think Liddell's popularity is the only reason why he is the favorite.

Rua has looked really bad so far in the ufc losing to Griffin and BARELY beating a old old Coleman who was out on his feet and out of gas and he still barely could take him out,He showed very poor striking ability and that is what this fight will be all about here.Rua will not be able to take Lidell down because he has a great sprawl and then he comes down to a striking match where imo Lidell holds a HUGE advantage.Also Dana has stated to Lidell that he must have a very impressive performance.(motivation)..All these factors show u that Liddel is the right play.I dont see Rua winning this one.

After Rua's last performance i thought i would never put money on him again but there is value in this line.  He is the better rounded fighter.

Rua also needs an impressive performance after that showing against Coleman.  Rua has been working on his cardio, and also his bjj and take downs.  Lidell's only weapon is a big punch and everyone and there brother by now knows that.  All that Rua needs to do is avoid that one punch and he wins this fight.  Dont forget Lidell is no spring chicken either.  Look for Rua to come out determined.   
Rua's only losing tko was his loss to Coleman when he had his arm broken.  I just dont see Lidell knocking him out.

From what I've seen of Rua, he is an overrated bum.  But, I can't back Liddell in this at that price.  I'm gonna wait for some movement, if it goes up, I'll be on the younger bum, if it goes down, I'll be on the older bum.

Unfortunately for Shogun, even if he's well prepared I could see him  getting lit up standing pretty bad. Remember, Nakamura outboxed him in Pride. It's not like Shogun has money hands. And when has he ever showed great take downs against anybody with decent wrestling who didn't want the fight on the ground? Don't say the Coleman fight...

Nevertheless, good luck Rua backers. I'm on Liddell, but only because i've hot him in a couple parlays that will be completed one way or the other this weekend. I definitely wouldn't put a straight bet on Chuck at these odds...

Shogun is going to get KTFO if he shows up in the same shape as his fight against Coleman.  Shogun was gassed in the 2nd round against a opponent 15 years past his prime.  If he comes in anywhere close to as bad shape against Lidell, it will be a quick exit.  Both fighters are desperate for wins.  Shogun hasn't beaten anyone except a 45 year old geezer since Pride. Lidell has lost to top tier competition, its not like he's getting beaten by stiffs.

The way i see this fight going is Lidell will stop Shogun's takedown attempts, keep this fight standing and knock Shogun the F#@! out.  Shogun has to get this fight to the ground where he has the advantage, and has to show up in some semblence of good shape, otherwise he's going to sleep.

Leaning towards Lidell.  I do believe that the line is too high for this matchup at -170 to -190 for Lidell, depending on your book.

Lidell has to know if he loses this fight he's def. on his way out.  Rua can be a brlliant fighter but hasn"t shown it in the UFC.  Both have alot to lose layin off this one but if I had to pick I'd go Liddell.
