Still breaking down the GB/Sea game (I'll post it tomorrow), for now I'll be on --
New England -13
Over New England/Jax 49.5
I haven't made a play on the Patriots all season, I've done quite well fading them down the stretch. This is the one they cover, and cover easily.
Jax has made great strides on the offensive side of the ball, but you can't say the same about their defense, in particular their pass defense. They have had success in stopping teams that stop themselves, last I looked the Pats don't fall into that category. They do not get enough pressure on the QB, and they are not physical at the line of scrimmage against WR's - two things you must do to be successful against the Patriots.
On the other side of the ball, yes Jax can run the ball, and NE is vulnerable to the run, but will they be able to stay with a running game plan? My guess is no, they will be playing from behind in this one, and it will come down to Garrard and the passing game. They don't have enough play makers at WR to go up against the NE secondary. I don't trust Del Rio in big game situations.
My prediction --
Patriots 45 Jaguars 21
Won't make my official plays here until I get the lines tomorrow (locals), but this will be one of my larger plays this weekend, with the Colts being my top play.
