probably the worse beat i can remember..EVER!!

i don't think anyone can give me a worse possible beat than what the baltimore backers just endured.  i'm sick to my stomach right now.  that swing was staggering.  of course they had to lose the coin toss..they were DONE after that.  how could they play after that???  i'm ready to throw up.  does anyone else feel cheated right now?  what a great comeback?  my book had already marked my winners.  you know it's time to retire

Cheated?  It was the right call.  This is why you practice solid money management because anything can happen.

I wouldn't consider it as one of the worst bad beats I've experienced this year but it's way up there near the top of the list just because both CBS and Yahoo had the game as final.

gotta roll with the punches....at least us spread backers got the push....better than dropping any coin.....but yes....like every other time I have backed the Ravens this season.....I have a sour taste in my mouth....

Yeah the FG was the right call.

But overall it was a terrible beat to lose that game after that comeback.  Cribs has shown how dangerous he can be.... I just don't understand why you would kick it to him in that spot.

i can give you one.  the other night i had portland +3 winning by 29 late in the 3rd quarter, they lose the game by 4

 You don't want to know how big a swing that was for me.   What the hell were the Ravens doing when they had 2 and 1 before they kicked their field goal?  Get the first down and leave no time for cleveland before you kick your field goal!   Brian Billick is a freaking moron!

meshu that was bad.the reason it was bad is the refs called it no good.they then went and reveiwed it when that is not a reveiwable play.they then said after a discussion on the ''field'' they said it was good.they flat out lied,regardless whether it was good or not.two refs right there called it no good,not reveiwable,game over.

Im just glad I got the game @ +3 killed alot of parlays and straight plays oh well, will take the push still won my parlays just less money

come on hitting the support bar of the uprights!!! thats like a 1 in 5000 shot, it was incredible and i had BALTIMORE!!!
 
Honestly ive had worse beats in CBB and NBA, i remember Nebraska playing in Hawaii a few years back.  Nebraska shot like a 60 footer at the end of hte game for the 1 point warrior win costing me the spread.
 
Last year i was at the Raptor Memphis game,  Memphis finished hte game on a 17-0 run over the last 5 minutes.  Thats right, Toronto did not score for the last 5 minutes of the game.  The line was -7, some rookie (wasn't Gay) i forget now, grabbed the rebound by the raps with a few ticks left ran down the court, went up to shoot was stripped, grabbed the ball falling away 20 footer swish.  Raps win by 6, the biggest back door cover i have ever seen.  Me and my friend looked at each other and started to laugh.  The tickets were $160 each, we had 5 times that on the Raps.

I remember some guy last week here had 6 game, $7000 parlay (off $40) that all came down to Indy moneyline.. we all remember what happened there... ouch!
 
My most bitter NFL loss was a few years ago, last game of the season, Arizona @ Min, with Zona sucking ass & Minny needing a win to get into the playoffs... Anyhow, Min was covering until Arz got the ball back in the final minute or so, drove down, and after being sacked a couple of times, scored a TD (to blow the cover) off a 4th and 23 with no time remaining... me and my buddies all had big bucks on it..
 
I've also had countless NBA/NHL heartbreakers.
 
Now I realize everyone gets fucked sometime. Part of the game.

i agree with the fg being good. just the way it all happened was unreal.  anyone ravens' backers watching had to be counting there money.  romeo was walking out to shake hands so he had no idea what was going on. 

but after just watching the highlights and torturing myself again i realize what a bad coach belick really is.  someone earlier in this thread pointed out what my friend made me realize...why is he passing on 3 and 1.  he's supposed to try and run, get the first down and make them use that last timeout.  instead incomplete and clock stops.  i'm sure he never imagined that final outcome could be possible.  but why in the hell would he kick directly to cribbs???  that guy's a beast.  he carried around 4 guys for 10 yards...that was key. 

of course they were done after they lose the cointoss.  how could they recover from that.  but give credit to the brownies.  they are really a good team.  i see a lot of guys getting on me for this thread.  i'm not complaining about the call...it's just such an unimaginable set of circumstances to lose a lot of money i thought was won.  i'm know i wasn't the only one and others probably lost more but aren't we allowed to vent??  this is all part of gambling.  just have to bounce back and start over next week.  good luck to all.

i couldn't agree with you more.  he's clueless.  they should have never been in that spot and he compounds it by kicking to cribbs.  i'm done venting.  let's get 'em next week.
