Tough loss last night on the Patriots, as I feel they should have won the game outright. Not a loss, just the first push of the season. The Jets shocked the hell out of me last night putting up 31 on the ATL, points I didn't think they'd score the first 3 games of the season. Onto Saturday, still looking at the card however have one play for now. GL Today Gentelman.

My first fade of the Dolphins comes tonight as they play host to the Jaguars. Miami goes to new coach Cam Cameron who'll have his struggles this season. The Dolphins are led by QB Trent Green the veteran coming down south from Kansas City. Behind him are the 3 no-names in Beck, Lemon and Hamdan. Once Green is pulled, these guys will have their struggles against the Jags defense. The running backs in Ronnie Brown and Jessie Chatman will see action tonight as well as new WR Ted Ginn Jr. Let's hope their isn't too much celebration in the end zone if the Dolphins score though! Ginn will be a tough rookie receiever this season on one side and veteran Chris Chambers and Marty Booker joining the mix. The defensive scheme for the Fins will have a tough time with two great QB's in Leftwich and Garrard battling it out for the starting job. David Garrard certainly had no trouble picking up the slack last season when Byron went out. Garrard was able to throw just over 60% last season for 1735 yds with a 10 TD/9 INT ratio. The Jags run game with Taylor and Jones-Drew is a solid combo to pick up rushing yards. The experience of the Jags last season as a team will show tonight as they win their 5th straight over the Dolphins in preseason.

The Chiefs invade Cleveland tonight with the first taste of starting QB's taking the field. The duo of Huard and Croyle has been the talk of camp, and the edge goes to Huard for now. Croyle saw just tw games last season and 7 pass attempts. The more experienced Huard did a solid job picking up for Trent Green and will likely do the same to start the '07 season. KC's run game led by Priest Holmes and rookie FB Greg Hanoian from the 'Cuse combine for solid rushing yards. Huard's targets on the outside are Kennison and Parker with the veteran Gonzalez picking up the short yardage passes. KC's defense will have a field day tonight in blitz plays attacking Frye and Anderson. The Browns weren't mobile in the pocket last season and I don't look for too many offensive changes for them. New QB Brady Quinn won't see to much action tonite, though I expect him to take at least one series. The big back in Jamal Lewis will help the Browns on the ground this season with Vickers leading the spot at FB. Frye's targets on the outside are led by Braylon Edwards, Joe Jurevicious and Cribbs. Tonight as many people like the Browns at home, I'll back the road team to play spoiler to Cleveland's opener.

Just as I predicted the Steelers to come out strong in the HOF game, I'll back them to another preseason victory tonight. GB comes to town looking to spoil Mike Tomlin's fun as new coach. The Packers and Brett Favre begin their 16th season together and though Brett wont see too much action, his backups Aaron Rogers and Ingle Martin will. The Packers finished 8-8 last season and started the preseason 1-3. GB lost both preseason games on the road at 0-2 ATS and SU, just as they will start tonight. PIT won't see much play from Willie Parker, however Davenport, Hayes and Barlow will pick up the slack. Big Ben led his team to the first drive of the preseason 73 yards for an early 7-0 lead last game. Brian St. Pierre came in after that and led the Burgh to a 14-0 lead courtesy of an endzone pass to Holmes. I'll look for the same type of game tonight as Pittsburgh rolls at home over the Pack.

with ya on the jags, but that chiefs defense might actually make the browns offense look halfway decent. they will surely want it more, as they have several people competing for playing time in the 2nd and 3rd units, and those players saw significant playing time in real games last year with all of the injuries. pitt is a no play for me but gl on that one.

I'm going to fade the Bears on the road tonight in Game 1 and back the home Texans. Though Houston won't be an offensive powerhouse this season, I feel they will be tough in the preseason and make a stand. Houston goes to new QB Matt Schaub tonite for the duties, and will be handing off to newcomer RB Ahman Green. Schaub is going to see most of the action tonight at QB and is followed up by Rosenfels and Van Pelt. On defense, the Texans go to rookie DT Okoye who will put plenty of pressure on the Bears offense. The CB's are led by Faggins and Robinson who will be taking care of Berrian and Mohammed in the beginning stages of the game. I'll take the Texans here in the opener at home to let down Bear backers.

I'm probably going to follow you on the Jaguars eventually - haven't read much about the game yet. Also love the Steelers but not sure if I can pull the trigger on a 6 point fave in the preseason.....
